Supreme Leader Khamenei Confirmed Dead by Iranian State Media

(28 February 2026) Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei has been confirmed to be dead. This news comes from Iranian State News. You can tell the news caster is quite emotional about it.

The jury was out earlier on confirming the supreme leader’s death because one never knows if a body could be a body double, or there could be only rumors.

The second supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei, 1939-2026.

The Assembly of Experts and the IRGC will now elect a new third supreme leader.

This state of affairs may be an ongoing endtime fulfillment to Daniel 11:2 (NIV 1984) which was already fulfilled in the days of the Persian Achaemenid kings, in which Cyrus was the first:

“Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will appear in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece [Yavan].”

Whether or not a fourth supreme leader later appears, or perhaps the fourth king is an IRGC general, we can only guess at this point. Or this verse may not have an end-time fulfillment at all. We will know soon.

In the meantime, seeing who the next supreme leader is should be interesting.
