Day 17 of the Oil Blocked: Three Ribs’ Speech Might be Clarifying

(16 March 2026) It is now 10 pm MST March 16, or, 5 AM GMT, March 17.

As of now, the Strait of Hormuz continues to be blocked. It has been blocked for 17 days. About 272 to 340 million barrels of oil have been removed from global oil supplies by Iran’s closing of the Strait of Hormuz.

The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play.

As it was yesterday, today is a mostly quiet news day, except the lifeblood of the world economy continues to bleed out as 16–20 million barrels per day are not replacing the reduction in global inventories.

Global LNG is slashed 30 percent, and urea for fertilizer is reduced 35 percent. (Buy your fertilizer now and don’t wait!) In a cruel twist, the LNG is needed to heat and process the urea into fertilizer.

The IRGC is allowing some oil tankers through, mostly only China carrying Iranian oil.

News Item 1: IRGC Warns About USS Ford

A spokesman for the IRGC has officially declared the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Gerald Ford—the newest, largest, and most expensive as well as the most technically advanced ship of the US navy—a target.

Like many declarations made by the IRGC in years past, it could just be bluster. However, due to this war, one never really knows.

News Item 2: Rumor That Second Signpost Could be Spontaneous

This story from Iranwire says that an informed source says the IRGC is not planning what to do beyond the current exchange of missiles and bombs on targets.

That also might just be bluster, for the Iranians are the inventors of chess.

However, if true, this sheds a little more light on the Bear’s moves. Note that in Daniel 7:5 (NASB) says of the Bear,

“Three ribs [were] in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, ‘Arise, devour much meat!’”

We don’t know under what circumstances the ribs ring the dinner bell for the Bear. Is the heading out planned or by happenstance? Who or what does the actual calling? We don’t know yet. However, as we get closer to the event, it will become clear.

One item that became clear is the second horseman’s first action is to do what it is told first to do—taking peace of mind from the earth.

Conclusion

The next event to occur in the Signpost theory, following the taking away of global peace of mind, is the invasion of Muslim nations by Iran. We saw the second horn exceed the first horn in height, per Daniel 8:3.

We are now watching for the three ribs to call to the Bear, as the peace of mind continues to be taken away. We were possibly given a hint that the rib call might be totally unplanned, except by God Himself.
