Day 32 of Oil Blockage: Is the Administration Getting Desperate?

(1 April 2026) It is now 10 pm MST April 1, or, 5 AM GMT, April 2.

As of now, the Strait of Hormuz continues to be blocked. It has been blocked for 32 days. About 416 to 520 million barrels of oil have been removed from global oil supplies by Iran’s closing of the Strait of Hormuz.

The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. Until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out, this is not over.

April 6 was given a few days ago as the new deadline President Trump gave Iran to open up the Strait of Hormuz.

However, while that was given, a new message came from the president, given in his speech Wednesday evening, as well as on X:

The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched.”

This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year “Reign of Terror.” Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Iran does not claim to be in any talks.

And now the President has doubled down, it seems, by threatening Iranian civil infrastructure.

I wonder if perhaps the Trump administration is realizing they have made a mistake by attacking Iran. Kharg Island might be a death trap for US troops. And by blowing up any Iranian oil infrastructure they will only make the oil shortages worse and the price rise faster.

Opening the Strait of Hormuz may not be possible due to Iranian missiles.
