(5 April 2026) It is now 9 pm MST April 5, or, 4 AM GMT, April 6. As of now, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked for 36 days, from any traffic that the regime does not approve of.
Only Iranian oil, and only that which is purchased using Chinese Yuan, as well as a $2 million toll paid in Yuan, may pass through. Marinetraffic.com is showing a few tankers going through now, which meet these criteria.
The amount of oil removed from the global economy is 540 million to 720 million barrels of oil, negating the 400 million barrels released from global inventories.
The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. And it will remain in play until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out across the Middle East. At this point, even if the Strait of Hormuz were to be completely opened, the damage to global agriculture is complete, and it will take months or years to get everything back on line.
President Trump’s Desperate Sounding Message
Maybe unsurprisingly, Trump put out a 48-hour ultimatum to the regime with time up on Monday, April 6. What was surprising was the foul language and the sound of desperation.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social site,
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!
Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Wow. A few things come to mind immediately.
First, Iran already warned back on March 22 that if the US and Israel struck power plants, the IRGC would destroy the oil infrastructure of the entire Persian Gulf. Doing this would result in the shortages emanating from the closed Strait, to go on for years, wrecking the US and western economies and bringing on the Second Signpost full force. And so far, the IRGC has been faithfully administering its payback responses.
Second, it looks like Trump might be finally coming to terms with the situation. It seems that no matter how much you bomb and destroy, the IRGC hangs on and continues to fight with its hidden missiles and drones. Trump is realizing that the IRGC won’t let go, and realizes he might be painted into a corner. Since there does not seem to be any change to this war scenario, Trump has to resort to expletives and all caps.
Trump Administration Still Doesn’t Understand
Thirdly, the Trump administration—I think—still does not understand who they are dealing with. That was obvious near the beginning when Trump was wondering out loud why the regime doesn’t surrender. Well, the regime is composed of men who are Twelver Shia zealots who honestly believe with all their hearts that they are ushering in the end times. They will fight, therefore, to the bitter end.
And by the way, by Trump saying, “Praise be to Allah,” he should realize he is only encouraging the regime to hang on because now they would see even their enemy being subdued and bowing the knee to their god.
Like Musical Chairs
Now, before the US takes out Iran’s power plants, and the regime takes out all the oil facilities across the Gulf, maybe it’s best to stop digging when you are already digging yourself into a hole.
For all us everyday citizens, with Trump’s surprise moves and the escalations occurring as on March 2, and March 19, I feel like we are all in a game of musical chairs. We who know the Signposts are trying to prepare as quickly as we can mentally, spiritually, and physically, but the music could literally stop at any moment. It is that moment that fuel skyrockets in price and supply chains for everything from paint to pharmaceuticals to fuel to food, all break.
Evangelical Eschatology vs. Twelver Eschatology, and the Twist of Irony
The regime does what it does because it truly believes it is bringing in their Mahdi, and the glorious end of the world.
The Trump administration—I’ve heard rumors—does what it does because its spiritual advisors say that by attacking Iran and defeating them, it will bring about Armageddon and the pre-Trib Rapture.
So we are seeing a testing of eschatological views, it would seem. As for this Christ-follower, my bet would be on the Twelver Shias. Why? Simply because the Four Signpost theory of interpretation of THE BIBLE, actually and completely supports what the Twelver Shias believe, and not what the western evangelical Church believes.
If the Signpost theory of interpretation is true as written about in Daniel Revisited, then the Mahdi the Twelver Shias are waiting for will emerge in the Fourth and last Signpost just prior to the Tribulation.
How is that for an incredible twist of irony? The Shias believe what I believe the Bible is saying, and the evangelical Church is still believing some guess made 18 centuries ago long before the end time in which Daniel 12:9 says the prophetic message would finally be uncorked.
Conclusions
Signpost theory says this situation will get much worse.
This would mean Trump would go ahead and destroy Iran’s power plant and grid infrastructure, thereby destroying the entire Persian Gulf oil infrastructure via the IRGC’s response.
Either way, we are looking at supplies drying up, fuel going up in price, and food shortages this winter, all either slowly getting worse over weeks and months while the Strait of Hormuz is closed to all US Dollar traffic, or we are looking at it suddenly, within days, because of the Trump administration’s recklessness.
If Trump is being led by spiritual advisors betting on the Rapture, versus the Twelver Shias’ Mahdi coming, we are looking at a contest of eschatologies. I might be the only teacher in Christendom to do so, but my bet is on the Twelver Shias’ views. I do this because I have witnessed no end-time interpretation being taught these days, more true than the Four Signposts.
Prepare. Time may be very short.
