Turkey’s Focus Moving From Europe to Asia

The following Reuters story is another one of those news items that may be ignored by many people as having significance in prophecy:

Turkey becomes partner of China, Russia-led security bloc

However, to the Four Signposts as written about in Hidden In Plain Sight, it is yet another development that sets up Turkey’s position in the Middle East so it is made ready to lead the Sunni Confederacy in the Third Signpost. When that time comes on the heels of the Second Signpost, Europe will be the least of Turkey’s concerns.

Turkey has just signed up as a “dialogue partner” with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) lead by Russia and China. With Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan calling his country’s wait to join the EU “unforgivable” (they have waited 8 years) it seems Turkey is making the transition in saying “ciao” to Europe and involving itself more in Asia. Indeed, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said about signing up to join the SCO, “this is really a historic day for us.” I agree.

Not only does this development poke an additional hole in the idea that Turkey could be home to, or part of the revived Roman Empire (i.e., EU) of, a Roman Antichrist, but this story fits very well with the Muslim Antichrist to come, and the Four Signposts which will see his emergence.
