Behind the Scenes: Iran Leadership Stays The Course

The real political power in Iran is buzzing with activity. The Assembly of Experts, charged with choosing the next supreme leader, is having its next election February 26. AEI’s Iran Tracker notes that the candidates allowed to run in the election have been vetted to the point that everyone running must hold to the current supreme leader’s view of the Islamic Republic and its place in the world. Some candidates are reported to be running unopposed.

The Assembly of Experts meets in March 2015 to discuss the Nuclear Deal. Where the supreme leader is the true executive having power in Iran, this is the true legislative body that also holds power. The chamber pictured here reminds me of our own American Senate but with lots of turbans, ayatollahs, and men who want to carry out Gods plan for the next great stage in His end times plans.

Of the importance of this election, the first story says,

“A lot is at stake in these elections. The Assembly of Experts elected in February will almost certainly select the next Supreme Leader during its eight-year term.”

Of course for those who know the Signposts, there is even more at stake, namely, Iran continuing to take the world down the path to the Second Signpost and ultimately to the end of the process – the Second Coming of Christ and the turning over of this world’s kingdoms to the kingdom of Christ and saints taking possession of it.  Hallelujah!

Moderate candidates like Rafsanjani have been completely screened out. Of course the moderate candidates are screened, because moderate candidates would want to give more freedom to the Iranian people at large, and not invade the Middle East. In human terms this is a much better path to go.  But God’s word shows us in Daniel 8 that we are well on the path to the next step in the end times. The ram’s second horn has grown. It is ready to run.  It will happen at some time.  And as Jesus shows us in Matthew 24, these things must happen.

And if Ayatollah Khamenei should pass away before the Second Signpost begins, this new Fifth Assembly of Experts will be quite ready to choose the next supreme leader, the one appointed by God that will continue Khomeini’s vision, and continue fulfilling God’s word, so that the Second Signpost can launch unobstructed.

  1. Just like Curtis wrote of Turkey: the past days there was a lot of attention on Al Arabiyah for Saudi Arabia’s announcement that they would invade Syria if so requested by the international Alliance against ISIS. (The Syrians were not a bit pleased.) Today Morocco announced full support to the Gulf States, including Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile Iran is working hard to boost its military: upgraded mid-range Emad ballistic missiles (nuclear capable), S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, Sukhoi-30 fighter jets…

    Mark,

I noticed that of the 4 beasts in Daniel 7 only two have wings. Nelson Walthers proposes that the wings signify conquest and links this to Ezekiel 17. I believe he makes a convincing case.

I do not agree with everything in the article.

Note that the bear does not have wings. I believe this to mean that Iran does not carry out a military invasion in the 2nd signpost. Let me know what you think

    God Bless

  3. All Glory to God

As Adamant has pointed to. If this international alliance against ISIS is formed…I believe the bulk of the troops will have to come from Turkey. Only Turkey has the force that is of required size, quality and is in close proximity to Syria.

    God Bless

  4. Curtis,
    Wings typically stand for speed.

  5. All Glory to God

    Mark,

Which Bible verses link wings with speed?

    God Bless

  6. Jaladi,
I will be making a post about this story.

  7. Curtis,
Heads represent political authority, horns represent power, wings represent speed/flight. These are standard images and meanings. The leopard with four wings is the same entity as the goat crossing the earth with its hooves not touching the ground – it will be fast and airborne

  8. Things are heating up in Syria this weekend:

“…which of course means that the IRGC and Hassan Nasrallah’s army are set to come into direct contact with Turkish and Saudi troops, setting the stage for an all-out sectarian war…”

  9. All Glory to God

    Mark,

The goat did not have wings. Ezekiel 17 specifically links wings with conquest

    Ezekiel 17 v 7
“There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation”. (KJV)

    God Bless

  10. Curtis,
The goat is the same as the four-winged leopard. Please read my book.
