Iran has yet again threatened Israel with a rocket or drone attack.
So how does this fit in with the Second Signpost?
Iran has been threatening to attack Israel for years. This threat for now is just bluster, but it still points to the Second Signpost, and what the Iranian regime really wants to do.
The supreme leader, with the IRGC, has been planning to run out across the Middle East for the last many years, executing its own Twelver Shia dream of Khomeini’s “Guardianship of the Jurisprudent” written about in Daniel Revisited, chapter 10. This is ultimately what the kings of the Persian ram wants to do (per Dan. 8:4, “He did as he pleased . . .”). Iran wants to rule the Mideast Muslim nations, instigating their 1979 Revolution, and causing chaos in those Muslim nations to bring about their Mahdi—our Antichrist. He will emerge later in the Fourth Signpost.
This latest threat of an attack by Iran on Israel is now for avenging seven IRGC officers who were killed in an Israeli strike. Recent reports show missiles are indeed coming from Iran’s proxies rather than Iran itself.
Apparently, what is holding Iran back yet again is the threat of engaging with the US military directly.
And here it is again: the Iranian regime wants to run out across the middle East, but is afraid of direct confrontation with the US. The Second Signpost could have easily happened by now if it wasn’t for the US military.
As I’ve written about before, the US military would need to be removed for the Second Signpost to occur. For Scripture says about any nation going against the Persian Ram’s run, “None could rescue from his power.” Hence, the US military may not be present.
What would cause the US military to pull out of the Middle East? Likely, it would be nothing short of all-out war with Russia and China.
Interestingly, at the same time Iran is threatening to attack Israel, Russia just tested one of its new ICBMs, as if sending a message.
I believe we are very close to the Second Signpost. As I wrote about in this post, Russia will very likely be the trigger for the Signpost, responding to a red-line crossed by NATO in Ukraine.
And with the US military pulled out of the Middle East, the Second Signpost will begin.
Keep watch. Prepare. Pull down the idols in your heart, which is the best way to prepare.

THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS 
Mark, one recent count I saw had about 50 US bases, with about 50,000 personnel across the the non-Israel middle east, which seems too large for a classic tripwire force.
Someone in the past couple days, maybe Andrei Martyanov or Simplicius, had a piece on the proliferation of Russian hypersonic technology going to North Korea and Iran, and Yemen too I think. Having a US missile cruiser sunk might cause a US pull out. It doesn’t feel like the uniparty would pull out willingly though.
The lights are going out in Ukraine, including its far west. The endgame may be coming on there. Ukraine wants 7 more Patriot systems, I imagine to replace the ones that have been destroyed.
But there’s still too much overconfidence regarding Russia’s capabilities.
