The Signpost Perspective: The Charlie Kirk Memorial

(30 Sept 2025) The Charlie Kirk Memorial service on September 21 in Glendale, Arizona, was seen by many in American evangelical Christianity as being a significant event, marking perhaps a spiritual turnaround in the US and fostering Christian unity.

We’ve seen a change in the direction America is taking (both good and bad), due to both Charlie’s assassination itself on September 10, and the Memorial.

Prior to the service itself, over 100,000 people took part in a time of worship to Christ, with millions more watching remotely. We saw—maybe for the first time in our lifetimes—the Secretary of War, the Secretary of State, the President’s own son, and the Vice President, all preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Many people said that revival had started. But from the Signpost perspective, I would say true revival is not yet, but the Memorial was a stage setter for what is coming.

The Second Signpost

The Second Signpost is still next in Bible prophecy. Iran’s boots on the ground will invade and occupy many Muslim nations in the Middle East.

Now, Daniel 8:4 (NASB) tells us of the Persian ram: “No other beasts could stand before him, nor was there anyone to rescue from his power; but he did as he pleased.”

For that to happen (no other beasts, that is, countries, could help), the American military presence in the Middle East must be defeated or withdrawn. Though there have been plenty of reports saying Iran was beaten by the bombings and the regime is weakened, this just isn’t so. Besides, the Second Signpost is an invasion of boots on the ground. The IRGC and the Basij still have plenty of troops to draw on. And the Second Signpost could occur whether or not Iran has nukes.

Now, if the US military is withdrawn, it would be due to a major crisis—either WW3 or some domestic chaos due to illegal immigrant militias or a domestic shooting war. In these cases, American society would be very different from today. Supply lines would be largely disrupted, food and gasoline might be scarce, and the dollar could see hyperinflation. Supply lines and hyperinflation would be all but guaranteed once the Iranian regime actually does invade and occupy Muslim countries in the Middle East. And with Iran shutting off the supply of oil from the Middle East, all the interruptions in the economy would be global.

Revival in America

Today, revival is not likely. No doubt right now due to what has happened to Charlie Kirk there are thousands turning to Christ, going to Church for the first time, or cracking open a Bible for the first time. But that’s not a national revival.

A true revival would involve tens of millions of Americans committing their lives to Christ. They would be repenting of their ways and resolving to follow His examples.

That won’t happen until the chaos mentioned above becomes real, as from the Second Signpost. In fact, a moment occurred during the Memorial that would be a data point on most people not completely surrendered to Christ: Trump said in his speech that he disagrees with Charlie on one point, and hates his opponents—and the stadium cheered at that.

Today, money in the bank and food on the table are generally available here in the US. Unfortunately, surrendering to Christ on a national scale won’t occur until this country is shaken by war and/or famine.

As an example, the one-hundred-million-plus Chinese people didn’t turn to Christ until Mao and Marxism took over that country.

Conclusion

Charlie Kirk’s assassination and Memorial service was, and is, a force to unite and above all, encourage, evangelical Christians in their faith. Evangelical Christians must be ready and united to be witnesses to the tens of millions of people who will want to repent and turn to Christ.

Follow Christ. Know His Word. Be ready to witness to others. Watch for the Second Signpost and chaos in your country and be ready.

why must boots be on the ground and not drones and missiles

  2. Hi hope,
Good question. The Bible tells us in Daniel 7 and 8. Remember, since Daniel 7 and 8 are completely end-time, those chapters read like a script as to what is to happen in the Middle East.
That said, first we have the Persian Ram running out (Dan 8:4) as opposed to the goat whose hooves don’t touch the ground (Dan 8:5) indicating an airstrike and/or airlift in the goat’s case. (In Daniel Revisited, ch 11, I go into detail).
Second, we have (Dan 8:4) the ram getting to do all it wants (in DR ch 10 there is detail on this), and what the ram wants to do is occupy and instill its 1979 Shia revolution on all the Muslim countries in the middle east (can’t do that from airplanes/drones/missiles). The plan is called the Guardianship of the Jurisprudent, by Khomeini.
Third, the first three beasts of Dan 7 all reflect the way those country’s militaries will behave. Only the leopard leaps (is airborne, like the goat) in the Bible. The bear rambles along place to place mauling, killing, ravaging, per verses from the Bible. (Reread Daniel Revisited)
Regarding missiles and drones – they will be the diversion needed to allow Iran’s militias to go out, just like Hamas did in micro on Oct 7.
    Hope this helps.

Do you not believe that the USA and the west will play a role in the over taking of Iran? especially since they are so active now,and Turkey is a NATO country?

  4. Hope,
Have you read Daniel Revisited? I ask that because Iran charging is a foundational point of the whole system (that is, the Second Signpost) of the Signpost interpretation of Scripture.
According to Daniel 7 and 8 Iran will invade and occupy most of the Middle East, with no one being able to stop them. This would likely mean the US would be defeated in some sort of Iranian asymmetric warfare tactic, and/or WW3 with Russia and China requiring pulling US forces out of the Mideast so Iran is free to do what it wants.
So, no, the West will not overtake Iran. The West is likely on a path of self-destruction. The Ukraine War might very well be the trigger to all this.

Yes I have read both your books, and often go back to them, as we speak they are building back up in the middle East and it would seem it’s not Iran that’s going to take the first shots It’s the United States and Israel? Maybe that’s the catalyst to going once and for all into the middle East defeating those Arab countries who support the West. It seems like most prophecy teachers either think Iran has already taken over the middle East via proxies, but like you I’m convinced that around will take a major role because of the verses that say in that day or in the last day and it says it twice so I’m convinced that Iran will succeed to a certain extent and we see their capability with their advanced missiles but I guess I have a bit of a hard time thinking that the rest of the world will not come against Iran if it goes against the middle East even under economic suppression. But then again like everything else if God opens the door and creates a scenario It’s God allowing for the victory. Maybe it’s just myself I cannot see a scenario where something so massive like that could actually take place without some great resistance. But I guess eventually the great resistance will be the goat…

  6. Hope,
    Good discussion. You wrote –
“Iran will succeed to a certain extent and we see their capability with their advanced missiles but I guess I have a bit of a hard time thinking that the rest of the world will not come against Iran if it goes against the middle East even under economic suppression.”
Whatever extent Iran goes, it will be as Daniel 8:4 says, the Ram got to do all it wanted to do.
Regarding “the rest of the world” not coming against Iran, (1) Russia and China will be for Iran because Russia and China will be the only countries untouched by the oil cutoff, (2) Israel may very well be occupied with the Psalm 83 War, (3) the EU will have all its oil and gas cut off and will be desperate, and (4) the US could very well be embroiled in WW3. The world beyond that will not have the capability to do anything to Iran.
God is very good at setting up the circumstances to make something happen that is amazing. Think 2 Kings 7:1-2, 17-20. Remember, too, we should put more weight on God’s word in Daniel 7 and 8 as far as this end-time script goes. And again, this is why I entertain the idea we are looking at the USA fighting WW3 or that Iran might defeat US forces – its Daniel 8:4.
