(27 February 2026) Thanks go to one of our readers who alerted me to the following development, of a Middle East “Troika”.
The bottom line here is that just as quickly as the Second Signpost seems to be starting, the nations of the Third Signpost are already lining up.
The “Troika”
A “Troika” has formed in the Middle East. What do I mean by this?
Troika is defined as a group of three, with the English word borrowed from the Russian word meaning a carriage drawn by three horses.
Third Head of the Leopard
It looks like there are now three heads present for the four-headed leopard of the Third Signpost.
President Erdogan of Turkey is a hard line Sunni Islamist. So much so, that he could not be allies with Shia-led Syria until recently, and he could not be allies with Egypt since the government there is secular.
Al-Golani and his Sunni army took over Syria and so now Erdogan and Al-Golani are allies.
Regarding Egypt, there was a false alarm for the Third Signpost way back in 2012 when Mohammad Morsi, another hard line Islamist was elected Egyptian president. However, when the Egyptian army led by al-Sisi took back secular power and threw Morsi in prison, Erdogan quickly withdrew overtures of friendship, and relations between Egypt and Turkey soured.
However, recently Erdogan has buried the hatchet and reached out as a friend to al-Sisi and Egypt.

Third Signpost Comes Up To Bat
We now have three heads of the leopard making their appearance. Albania is all that is left.
Turkey, Egypt, and Syria are now allied and three of the four heads of the leopard are present.
Daniel 8 says that after the Ram runs out we “suddenly” see the goat, which is the king of Yavan (i.e., Erdogan).
This may very well be confirmation the Second Signpost is happening now, because the goat is about to appear suddenly.
Conclusion
We waited 20 years from the First Signpost to the Second. I believe once the Second Signpost is underway, the remaining Signposts will play out in just a few years.
