(22 March 2026) If you are a reader and follower of the Signposts, then undoubtedly you have noticed that the First Signpost is included in the four horsemen of Revelation 6, and the four beasts of Daniel 7, but not with the ram and goat of Daniel 8.
The events of the last three weeks—if they are indeed the Second Signpost—may have just answered the question, Why is the First Signpost not included in the vision of Daniel 8?
Clues from Scripture tell us it’s either about Israel, or not about Israel.
Revelation 6:1-8 shows the four horsemen to be associated with the Gentile, i.e. Muslim, nations surrounding Israel. We are told this by the four colors of the horses and of Islam, and the fourth of the earth in which they have authority is also the extent of Muslim influence as well.
Also, the entire book of Revelation is addressed to the Church which is mostly Gentile believers.
Daniel 7 is also written for the Gentile/Muslim nations surrounding Israel. It was originally written in Aramaic, the lingua franca of the Persian Empire from Libya to Pakistan.
Daniel 8, though, was written in Hebrew, and is the only passage of the three written specifically to Israel, and about the Jews.
So what do we see happening in the Middle East in regards to the First and Second Signposts?
The First Signpost did not involve Israel, while the Second Signpost does.
The First Signpost
The Bush administration made it clear that of the coalition of nations to take out Saddam, Israel was not to be included.
The Israeli government even told the Bush administration that taking out Saddam was a mistake because it would unleash Iran.
Therefore, it could be said that the First signpost was out of view by, and there was no control to be done by, Israel. Therefore, the First Signpost did not need to be told to Israel, and therefore there is no First Signpost in Daniel 8.
The Second Signpost
Israel’s involvement in the Second Signpost is the exact opposite of the First. Not only has Israel been an integral part of attacking the IRGC and the supreme leader, as well as all the leadership of the regime, but Israel even has a network of intelligence officers infiltrated into the regime to pinpoint targets to be taken out.
Not only that, but Israel attacked refineries and other infrastructure in Iran’s South Pars gas field which supplies something like 80 percent of Iran’s electricity. The attack occurred after 2:10 pm local time on March 18, just hours prior to sunset in which March 19—the exact midpoint of the current Jewish seven-year cycle—was to begin.
Right after that, the IRGC issued a warning of escalation that all Arab oil infrastructure had become a target.
Though this escalation could have happened anyway, by any reason, at any time, it was caused by Israel on the eve of March 19. This activity would also be an important link in the escalations leading to worldwide global depression, and the IRGC and Basij eventually running out.
Therefore, if this is all the Second Signpost so far, we can see that Israel was definitely involved in the war and the escalation.
Conclusion
Again, if this is all the Second Signpost, we see Israel is an integral part of the Second Signpost. However, Israel had no part of the First Signpost.
And where Israel is very much affected by the Second Signpost by missiles, bombings, etc., it was not affected in any way directly by the First Signpost.
Therefore, Scripture written to the Jew which is Daniel 8, did not need to include the First Signpost. And Scripture written for the Gentile which would be very much affected by the First Signpost, was included in Daniel 7.
This is yet another example of the actual events in the Middle East fulfilling prophecy, making detail about the prophecies themselves clearer, and answering any lingering questions.
God is good.
God is in control.
Thank God!
