(4 April 2026) It is now 10 pm MST April 4, or, 5 AM GMT, April 5. As of now, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked for 35 days, from any traffic that the regime does not approve of.
Only Iranian oil, and only that which is purchased using Chinese Yuan, as well as a $2 million toll paid in Yuan, may pass through. Marinetraffic.com is showing a few tankers going through now, which meet these criteria.
The amount of oil removed from the global economy is 525 million to 700 million barrels of oil, negating the 400 million barrels released from global inventories.
The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. And it will remain in play until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out across the Middle East. At this point, even if the Strait of Hormuz were to be completely opened, the damage to global agriculture is complete, and it will take months or years to get everything back on line.
The Food Crisis
Please realize, that whether the Strait of Hormuz is opened soon or not, it doesn’t matter regarding the loss in global harvest this Fall. The problem is the fertilizer (one-third of the global total) did not get out through the Strait at the crucial time, and it needed to get into the ground around the world in the last several weeks. The growing season in the northern hemisphere has begun.
This is part of the peace of mind taken away by the second horseman as I wrote about in chapter 10 of Daniel Revisited.
Several good articles and videos are coming out on the looming food crisis which will impact us later this year.
Here is a 12-minute video, A massive food crisis is coming, from Money & Macro.
Another good video is, A Global Food Crisis Is Coming – And We Need to Prepare, from New Scientist.

Seeds and Supplies
In my own preparations, I’m adding a second chicken coop, and digging in a few cubic yards of processed sheep manure into our rather large garden.
Here are some seed suppliers I’ve used in the past:
Conclusion
If the Strait of Hormuz stays closed, prices and availability of fuel and everything else will go much higher. However, the food crisis will occur whether the Strait is opened or not.
If the Trump administration could have held off on attacking Iran for just one month, this food crisis would likely have never occurred this year. This makes me wonder if someone with power and influence on the administration knew this would be the case.
Learn to garden. Start a garden. It’s still not too late.
This will enable you to be a blessing to others and answer the call for Matthew 25:31–46.
Keep watch.
