(12 April 2026) It is now day 43 of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the cutting off of oil to most of the world.
As long as the closure continues, and the oil cutoff becomes more long-term, the Second Signpost started March 2nd, officially.
Today, after 42 days since March 2nd, this Fox News story (and this story) reports that US President Trump spoke against the Second Signpost. He did so unknowingly.
Trump’s Declaration
Trump stated on his Truth Social account that the US Navy will blockade all ships trying to enter or leave the Strait that are friendly to Iran, or that Iran allows to go through with the passage fee.
About the closure that Iran has created, Trump added,
“At some point, we will reach an ‘ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT’ basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, ‘There may be a mine out there somewhere,’ that nobody knows about but them. THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION, and Leaders of Countries, especially the United States of America, will never be extorted.”
Trump Taking on the Second Signpost
Did you catch that? Let me explain.
The Second Signpost began with the release of the horseman of Revelation 6 that is the herald of the Second Signpost. This would be the second horseman.
His first job, being allowed by the sovereign God to do so, is to take peace of mind from the earth. This peace of mind is taken from the earth by cutting off the crude oil and natural gas from the world economy, by making that oil and gas unavailable to the world.
Iran is currently doing so by closing the Strait of Hormuz, as it has been doing now for 43 days.
Trump declared that Iran is extorting the world. Yes, Iran is extorting the world under the coverage and permission of the second horseman if this is the Second Signpost.
Speaking Against the Second Signpost?
Trump then said leaders of countries, and the United States, will never be extorted.
Well, right off the bat we can see we are already being extorted. Fuel prices rose 40 percent. Fertilizer available for this year’s crop in the US has just had one-fifth of it cut off, paring back our harvest this autumn.
The Future
Will the world continue to be extorted? Trump said “no.” The Second Signpost says “yes” if indeed this situation continues to be the real Second Signpost.
Therefore, if the Second Signpost is going on right now, then Trump is acting belligerently against God and what He is doing in the end times.
Conclusion
If this is the Second Signpost, this news story carries a lot of spiritual weight.
A US president spoke against what God has planned. Of course we all individually speak against God’s plans because we are human and He is God. The entire western church may be speaking against what God has planned. No one is counting on the Second Signpost. Instead, they are counting on the Rapture.
If this is the real Second Signpost, is Trump’s belligerent statement a sign of more bad things to come? In other words, God may have judgment coming on the US (and the world), and where God may be saying “yes,” the president is saying “no.”
The next few weeks and months have a good chance of becoming extremely . . . um . . . interesting.
