(1 May 2026) It is now 11 pm MST May 1, or, 5 AM GMT, May 2. As of now, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked for 62 days.
The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. And it will remain in play until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out across the Middle East.
Retired Col. MacGregor Summarizes the Situation
Yet another video interviewing Col. MacGregor has been released today.
Between his answering questions and adding up the situation the following are the highlights:
– Iran controls the Strait.
– We may think we (the US) are doing the world a favor, but this is not true.
– Seventy percent of US farmers can’t afford fertilizer.
– There is a certainty of famine globally – with America getting shortages.
– Our current attempts to harm Iran do us no good and is harming the rest of the world.
– The right thing to do is to stand down and not punish millions of people starving or having fuel shortages.
We Are Poised for the Second Horseman’s Worst
At 08:00 MacGregor says quite matter-of-factly:
“They will employ everything they have and do what they’ve promised which is to utterly eradicate all the remaining oil infrastructure in the Gulf which would be disastrous for the rest of the world because that means 10 years to recover from this.”
Well, there you have it. The threat of the Second Signpost would no longer be a threat because it will have arrived.
With a permanent (i.e., ten years) loss of one-fourth of the world’s oil, we are looking at the Second Signpost and the second horseman with no doubts.
Conclusion
The moment Iran eradicates the remaining oil infrastructure in the Middle East, then the Second Signpost is on with no doubts or reservations. That is the turning point when we go from wondering if this is all the start of the Second signpost, to knowing.
And then the invasion by Iran would be next.
This could happen any time. Yes, as things are currently going, the world will have an oil price crisis and more shortages in late May, but the misery could escalate at a moment’s notice if Iran carries out that attack.
Keep watching.

I don’t agree that the world can afford for the US to stand down from confronting Iran, especially not now. October 7 has already removed that option, if it was ever more than an illusory one.
Appeasement of the Iranian IRGC terrorists was never going to work.
As far as I can tell, MacGregor is pro-Putin, not pro-American.
I do not trust his motives.

Show me a future in which Iran agrees to let up on the Strait of Hormuz bottleneck, and I’ll show you a future in which they institutionalize that control and make the famine that will inevitably follow as a matter of when, not if, a thousand times worse.
I’ve worked with some of our fellow Americans who have stayed the course on helping Ukraine, regardless of the partisan winds. They are, by and large, not the corrupt bunch that helped install Biden into the White House. They’re just ordinary people trying to do the best they can with what they have.
Fighting global famine isn’t Trump’s priority as such. That’s not good, in and of itself. Ukraine is a largely agricultural nation. Trump had the opportunity to head off famine by working with Ukraine to get around the Russian theft of the eastern part of their country. He should have taken it. He’s still lending Putin too much of an ear regarding Ukraine. Putin has Trump convinced that Zelensky is part of some Left-wing conspiracy, the same one that, in Putin’s narrative, tried to overthrow the rightful government of Ukraine (actually a Kremlin puppet regime) and then threw everything they could at Trump. There is such an America- and Israel-hating Left-wing conspiracy against Trump. Zelensky and Ukraine aren’t part of it. Zelensky has repeatedly show good-faith willingness to work with Trump despite his… Trumpiness.
Trump should have strengthened American ties with Ukraine, to help counter Godless, backsliding European Left-wing influence as much so as for the fact that helping Ukraine is straightforwardly the right thing to do.
Mark, you said the Antichrist will try to conquer Europe once he unites a significant portion of the Islamic world, consolidating the manpower and resources necessary for such campaigns. Ukraine may be our last best chance for keeping that from happening. They were willing to help us protect our allies in the Gulf from Iranian attacks despite knowing how difficult Trump can be to work with when he views you as his enemy. Trump has been constantly under siege. He is reasonably cautions, but he also looks for enemies where there are none. Getting shot, constantly lied about and harassed, and maliciously prosecuted can do that to anyone. Putin knows how to manipulate that situation.
Is Ukraine perfect? No. Can the U.S. help keep Ukraine from getting worse? Yes. Should we? Yes, if they’re still willing to let us after all the stupid stunts that the Kremlin Caucus inside the GOP have pulled. And yes, that’s a matter of fact, not opinion, that a significant portion of figures in Trumpland were targeted by Russian influence campaigns. Where did Paul Manafort come from? Viktor Yanukovych, Putin’s puppet dictator now resident inside Russia. Putin is a manipulator. He throws darts at the wall and will work with whatever sticks. He’s never been above telling mutually contradictory lies at the same time.
I fully expect one last heavy hit and claim victory from the west and then claiming victory and leave regardless it will be a huge downgrade for the whole world, what a price to pay, Iran will quickly rebuild whatever’s destroyed and it will be paid for by tolls, Scott Ritter said that the West is good at blowing up buildings as in empty buildings, but the Iranians are good at pouring cement. if Israel and United States decide to go for one last kick at the can I fully expect the exports to the Red Sea will be all closed off and all oil from that area and food and infrastructure will be cut off. althoughThe United States will be the last to stand because of their unique position of having two oceans between them. The only thing that will make the Americans stand up and take notice is the increased price hikes on food because of lack of world production, that will scare people more than lack of expensive oil. now what I am struggling to understand though is it necessary that troops have to be on the ground to push out north south and west it does not say specifically that it has to be troops but it could be drones or ballistics or maybe a combination of both, because you can’t take an area without troops, but troops in the open with today’s weaponry is dangerous. well no matter what happens The good thing is we have the Lord and the scriptures that tell us what to expect. so we can prepare beforehand come Lord Jesus come.
Over the years I have found a bias in Colonel McGregor’s input. Used to think he was solid.
Much better input here…..https://youtu.be/dRsy4dC_Sk4?si=rFaHZm-nNUITtzJb
