(20 June 2026) It is now 11 pm MST June 20, or, 5 AM GMT, June 21. We have been watching world and Mideast events, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
The Strait of Hormuz has been closed, with a little traffic in the last two days, but still mostly closed. It’s been this way for 112 days. Marinetraffic.com as of now shows two ships traversing the Strait.
The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 (with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz) is still in play. And it will remain in play and then either be disproved when the regime is completely disbanded, or will be confirmed when the Ram runs out across the Middle East.
Three Groups of Men Trying to Help God’s Plans
The Israeli government seems to be driven right now to take the land God promised the Jews, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Euphrates River. As if somehow by conquering those lands will bring the Messiah.
The Trump administration, so I’ve heard, is being driven by some to attack Iran so it can bring about the Gog-Magog War about, and thus bring about the Rapture.
And the regime in Iran is trying to bring about their Mahdi, with economic chaos across the world, and by conquering Muslim nations in the Middle East.
One of these three groups’ plans is not like the others.
Have you figured out which one it is and why?
The Jews and the USA are trying to bring about what God has written in the Bible, the Word of God.
The regime is only trying to bring about what their holy writing says, which is written by men.
God’s Plans
If the Signpost theory is correct, then the following seems to be happening.
Man’s plans are only man’s plans, and God sometimes allows men to reach their goals, such as the Iranian regime doing everything they want to do and so the Mahdi enters the stage at some point in the near future.
But man working God’s plans doesn’t work. Abraham having a son with Hagar is an example. God promised a son to Abraham and he rushed it. This resulted in thousands of years of enmity between Ishmael and Israel.
God can also take man’s plans, twist them, and use them to achieve His own plans. In this case, God is going to take Israel’s and America’s attempts at forcing eschatological events in the Bible, to bring them about but in the way He has truly prescribed in His Word.
Therefore, Israel’s and America’s attempts at conquest would result in Iran conquering the Middle East, the four-fold Sunni confederacy conquering the Mideast, and then the Mahdi (Antichrist) rises from the ashes, unites all of Islam, they march on Jerusalem in the Gog-Magog War, and then their Messiah arrives at the last minute to save one-third of them.
Conclusion
Oh, Israel will get their land, and get their Messiah, but only after much misery called out in God’s Word, that God sovereignly decided would be triggered by Israel’s own futile efforts.
What do you think?
Keep watch.

what do you think the sixth seal is? It comes after the four horsemen and correct me if I’m wrong, it also comes after the AC (mahdi) arrives on the scene and unites the muslim world (fourth signpost/fourth horsemen)
Mark, I agree.
Think also about Rebecca and Jacob deceiving Isaac to get the blessing which God had promised to Jacob anyway. Jacob had to flee and go into exile for many years.
There is even a group of orthodox Jews who believe that the whole current State of Israel is premature, because only the Messiah can give them their country back, and only He can summon the Jews of the world to unite in it.
I sometimes wonder if they are right, especially seeing what the Israeli’s have been doing to get, keep and extend their state. Not all of that is good, and I fear that is an understatement.
In my reading of OT prophecy over the years I gradually got the impression that their defeat and persecution by the great power from the North (the antichrist) is a punishment by God, for not trusting Him to give them what He promised in His time and His way, and only trusting in their military strength and the strength of their allies. Thus God forces them to trust in Him alone when nothing else can save them. Just He did in the OT many times over.
The same might apply to Christians who trust too much in military strength. In the end it will fail: And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.

A lot of reasons that, even if Hormuz gets opened again, it’ll take months to even return to normal operations. Very insightful article, a couple of quotes:
” Despite both the Iran and United States signing an agreement to end the fighting, various experts agree it will take months for ship traffic and oil flows to get back to normal.”
“Smith said that’s because ship operators are feeling hesitant. He expects it will take weeks for the approximately 120 tankers filled with oil in the Gulf to exit, and longer still for the 100 empty tankers to fill up and leave.”
“The central part of the Strait is mined and unnavigable, and only the inshore traffic zones close to Oman and Iran are reportedly free of mines.”
However, congestion and navigational incidents in that inshore area also make it risky passage for ships at this time, he added.”
“For ship owners, there are also concerns that maritime insurers have yet to declare they will cover damage from war risk. Maritime insurers withdrew such coverage in the first days of the war and have yet to restore it for most clients.
“It wasn’t just Iran that shut down the Strait of Hormuz, it was Lloyds of London and similar companies,” said Tom Kloza, an independent oil analyst and adviser to Gulf Oil.”
“Beyond risk, there are also practical issues, like if ships are still seaworthy after being anchored for more than three months or if they have the fuel and supplies needed sail, said Lloyds Market Association, a trade association of marine insurance underwriters.
Bailey said there’s also the need to scrape off barnacles that had attached themselves to ships while anchored for months.
“It’s not a case of just saying the light is now green. Everyone can start your engines and off you go,” he said.”
“But even if ships sail immediately, that doesn’t mean oil production in the Persian Gulf will return to normal. Much of the production and refining in the region was shut down early in the war when tankers were cut off, and restarting will be a slow process”
“Once it does, new tankers will then need to travel back to pick up new shipments of oil. The last thing vessel owners want is to sail back into the Persian Gulf and once again be stuck for several months, said Kloza.
That requires confidence among tanker operators that this peace agreement will hold long-term.
“We don’t know the answer to that,” said Kloza. “Maybe it gets viewed as a safe piece of water, but I think we’ve got a long way to go till we get to that.””
So many reasons that shipping won’t return to normalcy in the upcoming months. And in these months, the global storages keep bleeding out.
Conn,
The sixth seal is the return of Christ at the end of the 70th week. The fifth occurs in the midst of the 70th week itself.
