(19 July 2026) It is now 10 pm MST July 19, or, 4 AM GMT, July 20. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 141 days. The global storage of oil of 1.2 billion barrels has been mostly emptied.
An alert was posted on this site yesterday that we may be hours or days away from the Second Signpost breaking wide open.
We saw Iran yesterday put the US on notice about retaliation for the US destroying any Iranian power plants and/or continuing its attacks regardless saying,
“If the Americans continue the war in the next two or three days, we will enter a phase of full-scale offensive and destruction.”
This Newsmax article reports that US forces continue to bomb and take out targets in Iran.
Conclusion
Tomorrow will be two days of the “next two or three days.”

THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS 
On this 1st alert day, the Houthi’s have instated a partial blockade of Strait Bab-El-Mandeb, only against Saudi ships:
This affects more than 3 percent of the global oil market. Saudi Arabia has leaned on the Bab al-Mandab in recent months to export more than 3.6 million barrels of oil and related fuels a day, most of it to Asia.
This requires Saudi Arabia to reroute shipments through the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean and then around all of Africa. It’s going to put more pressure on transportation costs and delivery times.
Brent oil rose to $90, and the average gasoline price in the USA rose to $4,
The USA is sending more warplanes to the Middle East.
Iran keeps attacking Jordan and several Gulf States.

The worst escalation however is, in my opinion, that both US and Iran attack civilian infrastructure such as power plants and desalination plants. That was already in the news yesterday, and continued today.

When we look at recent attacks, it targeted Aqaba and Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in the Kingdom of Jordan, it tried to smuggle weapons to Hezbolla via the Tanf crossing on the Iraq-Syria border, it has targeted the Kurdistan Region of Northern Iraq, Kuwait’s power and desalination infrastructure, Bahrain, ships in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia, the Port of Duqm in Oman; the Houthis have targeted Saudi Arabia, etc.
Iran will increase attacks on frontlines it thinks are vulnerable, it views this as a regional war, like the frontlines of the First World War which stretched from Belgium to Verdun to northern Italy and beyond.
I do struggle with the necessity to having boots on the ground north south and west if that actually does not happen and I’m not saying it won’t the increase distance of missiles going north west and south could be a fulfillment of the prophecy. part of the problem of putting boots on the ground I mean Iran putting boots on the I got some seaweed it may
part of the problem I have with Iranian boots on the ground is that it’s almost impossible to attack your neighboring countries without sufficient air power you need both boots on the ground and air power Iran has very little air power left. so I personally would not think that Daniel 8:4 is not being fulfilled if the only thing that went out to cause destruction was missiles going north west and south, then eventually the West and Turkey will build troops around the Turkish area and would support from all their aircraft make a attack on Iran. I am not saying that a iran will not put boots on the ground but it may not,cuz I’m not too sure I can glean from the scriptures that boots are required..

Yes, I think we might all struggle to one degree or another with this seemingly impossible prediction. Again, I’m reminded of two thoughts about this.
First, the Ram gets to do all it wants. They want to conquer and unite and convert the Muslim peoples of the nations in the Mideast, to create a community that waits for the Mahdi. If Iran could do this without boots on the ground, fine. But then there is the Bear wandering, eating. And the Ram runs geographically while the red horseman causes men to butcher each other – that’s “each” other. Hard to do that with just missiles going one way.
Second, the seeming impossibility of IRGC/Basij boots on the ground across the Mideast makes God’s sovereign will even more amazing, bringing more glory to Him, who is able to write down in His Word something impossible. I had the same confrontation with the First Signpost’s seemingly impossible event.

Good thinking. However, the seeming impossible may open up. Right now, we just saw the impossible of the US being unable to keep Iran from closing the Strait.
One possible scenario, is Iran destroys enough of the oil infrastructure and water infrastructure, such that there is not much resistance by the natives. There could be air resistance from Israel, but the Psalm 83 war may keep them very busy.
Right if everything fits as you suggest we may be only at the beginning of a total degradation of the West, so massive turmoil in the middle East can advance. I think sometimes it’s hard to follow the bouncing ball..
