(5 November 2026) The title of this article may sound crazy, but hear me out.
Many Christians and conservatives are a anxious over the blue wave that hit the night of the midterm election.
There is anxiety over a return towards the climate of the Biden administration, including resumption of the cancel culture and attempts to silence conservative and Christian voices.
Something changed for me the morning after the election. I realized it was how I viewed the Second Signpost.
Now, the Second Signpost will likely be triggered either by the US prior to January 3, or, following that date Iran will initiate it once the Democrats are in power. So it is likely to not be very far away. And it will not be pretty.
There will likely be fuel and food shortages with people panicking and going mad. Who needs all that?
Prior to November 3 I held some dread about the Second Signpost for a long time. After all, who wouldn’t?
But it was the election that changed my mind.
The Second Signpost means that the endless cycle of politics will be ended. People will not be worried anymore about the issues, but only about how to feed their families.
We can stop loaning mental energy to politics, and instead get busier working for Christ’s kingdom, witnessing to unbelievers while the storm of the Signposts rages.
The Second Signpost means that the endless cycle of politics will be ended. We can take a break from it, and instead look forward to the signs showing Christ’s return.
That is what I look forward to.
