Iran’s IRGC has been running yet another massive war exercise this past week, known in English as “Great Prophet 9”, the ninth of the Great Prophet series of exercises.
The Iranians built a mock U.S. Nimitz-class aircraft carrier last year. Its length, width as well as its height from the waterline to the flight deck are roughly the same as the real thing, but beyond that there are likely no similarities at all. As part of its current exercises, the Iranian IRGC Navy has destroyed it using a hundred or so little speedboats armed with missiles.

Many today may downplay or write off the possibility of a bunch of little speedboats taking down a Nimitz-class carrier with escorts and air cover. But many in 1588 downplayed the possibility of the Spanish Armada with its large ships and 42 guns each being taken down by a British fleet of smaller ships with greater speed and half the firepower.
But the main reason I even suggest such a thing is possible is that last sentence in Daniel 8:4 which says about the Iranian ram – “He did as he pleased and became great.”

Iran would never attack a US carrier if Iran is not attacked by the US first.
Every country has to take its own security from external threats seriously.
They would not train attacking US carriers, if there were not surrounded by US carriers.
Nowadays we read a lot about Israel feels threatened even if it is the bully in the region and has the backing of the superpower, but in reality no country is more threatened than Iran, which has to hear on a weekly basis from the super power, that “all options are on the table” and also read about speculations of an Israeli attack on Iran with possible nuclear fallout.
Even though Iran seems hostile to the US the reality (also observed by US travellers and foreign diplomats that have been in Iran) looks like this:

Please don’t misunderstand me. The Bible is talking about Iran and the leadership of Iran, invading the Middle East. The horns of the ram are the kings, the leaders. I’ve said before that the majority of the people of Iran hate their government; that the people of Iran by and large are loving people and not psychopaths like the ayatollahs.
Iran invented chess. The leaders are playing a game of chess politically, masterfully. The fact that they blew up a mock carrier can be indicative of many things. They may have made a big show of this exercise simply to give the world the wrong impression, a false idea; that Iran would be preparing for a naval confrontation with the US when Iran has no intention of doing so.
We will have to wait and see.
Hi Mark, I think this stories in the Bible or other religious books can be related to any country in the middle east. BTW there is a non middle eastern country that has already invaded some countries in the middle east, but ok let’s not talk about that.
The thing with the mock carrier, was just a military test, like what every country does. See it like this at least Iran does it on his own coast, not on the US coast. Most countries do this kind of things in their own waters. The US does this kind of tests/trainings thousands of kilometers away from its own coast in the Persian Gulf or on the coast of Korea, now this is what I call aggressive.
In the name of friendship, since you are a Christian and because we hear lots about minorities in Iran witout seeing real photos, I recommend you to look at these photos and think about how many things that we read about Iran is just mixing Iran up with Arab countries or just politically motivated.

Have you read my book? The Bible is Middle-East-centric, and you would see in my book why Daniel 7 and 8 show a series of events coming soon involving Iran, Turkey, etc. And yes, the United States is shown as playing its part – where the Bible mentions actions being done and preparations being made by an unnamed nation.
Iran is not liking Israel’s attack that included their own generals. It could have been done as a warning to the U.S. to not get involved.

I know Farsi and I have checked some of their translations, and they are often wrong or extremely misleading. I cannot say anything about their arabic translations, but the source is just not trustable.

I don’t doubt what you show about MEMRI. I identify the references so my readers can go back to the sources and check them out for themselves. It is not an endorsement of any source.
You can make the Bible say whatever you want when the countries are not explicitly told.
For instance, in the 1980’s the Bible “said clearly” that Og and Magog were personified by the Soviet Union and its leaders according to zionist pastors such as Jimmy Swaggart who used to tinge his interesting religious speech with anti-soviet rant. Yes, the same “holy man of God” that was an inveterate client of whores.
Actually, when the danger for Israel is said to come from the North it’s pointing out to the region between the Caspian Sea and the Ural Mountains, North from Caucasus, cradle of the Turkic Khazars that were massively converted to Judaism in order to use them for the military conquest of Eastern Europe. Their Empire was destroyed by the Mongols and the brand new “Jews” flooded Ukraine, Poland, Western Russia and Germany.

I agree with you – many have twisted the Bible to make it say all kinds of things. The whole Russia thing, for instance comes from the twisting of the word “rosh” toward the beginning of Ezekiel 38. In 600 places it means first or chief but right there it means “Russia” because teachers want it to be so.
I encourage you to read Daniel Revisited. It combines ancient history with the simplest – and I mean straightforward – reading of Daniel 7 and 8, to yield an interpretation that is rather shocking and different from anything else taught out there. Then just by seeing the world around us one can see how compelling the interpretation is – how it is matched by current events day by day and month by month. Just remember this – the next prophetic event is not the Rapture or the Tribulation – it is the invasion of the Middle East by Iran. That is the next sign that Christ is coming.
In the 21st century, Iran is playing the role the Soviet Union did in the 20th.
The Bible was written in Canaan-Israel-Palestine concerning events around the people who inhabited there; hence it’s the most natural thing it speaks about neighbor nations that could and actually did affect their lives. It’s too adventurous to state that other countries will not play a pivotal role in world events that might include the Middle East.
In Revelation 9:14-16 and 16:12 it speaks about a 200 million army from the East; linking this large number to Iran is simply out of the question.
Just because of the numbers the most apparent country becomes India with a 1,200 million population close to the 1,400 million of China that is farther and beyond India. Moreover, the population growth rate of the latter is twice of the former so that eventually India will be more populated than China and hence it will have the largest army of the world.
The only problem is that India is falling into the cobweb of the USA via Monsanto and Military Treaties; oherwise it would have been the chosen one to be Public Enemy N° 1.
Because of the contest between China and the USA, the former is the apparent enemy to be aware of.
Unfortunately, fearmongers have it pretty uphill since Iran started a nuclear program so that in the short term it is more important to meet this issue than the persistent growth of China.
By the time the nuclear program of Iran is settled either by dismantling it or developing a nuclear bomb that makes the country an enemy not to attack, things will turn back to normality and China will be again the bearer of the ominous title “Threat to Humankind”.

When the Signposts are done (and that’s when Iran on its own will be “done”) and the Tribulation begins, there will be two spheres of real power left in this world: the Antichrist’s Islamic realm, and China and its allies. This is why the Bible speaks of only one military threat to Antichrist – the 200 million from the East.

Her emphasis on Saudi Arabia also confirms that the second horseman indeed will take away the peace of mind from the earth via controlling the oil fields.
She asks an interesting question – how did we let it get t his far? The true answer is that it is God’s will as written in His word in Scripture.
Mark, what blows me away is that it was just a few months ago that I began reading and listening to ME operatives, experts, and analysts in order to gain an understanding of events in the light of prophetic scripture. Then I discovered your book. It wasn’t until I read your book that my eyes were opened to what God is beginnning to reveal to His followers now. The dots of the ME puzzle are being connected.
