The battle for Yemen continues. The Iranian IRGC navy has deployed warships to the waters off the coast of Yemen. It sent one of its new destroyers with a support ship that also doubles as a helicopter carrier. The destroyer is pictured; hull 72, the Alborz. The Alborz is a missile launching destroyer.
The current force of two ships probably wouldn’t be used to break any Saudi blockade of Aden. But it might be used to remind the Saudis of Iran’s investment in Yemen, as well as rescue any Iranian nationals that need to be removed.

The missile destroyer Alborz, pictured here during a recent military exercise, is one of the two Iranian ships dispatched to Yemen.

Meanwhile, read here what Turkey has to offer the region according to a representative of Harun Yahya organization: “Turkey is not to be the leader but the servant of the Middle East.” (I wonder whether we will be able to discern any difference between those two.)
