The heir apparent to the Saudi throne, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, gets it.
He called Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei “the new Hitler” back in November. Admittedly, I didn’t read the story; after all, of course the Ayatollah is like Hitler – ruling his nation with an iron fist, etc. It’s a no-brainer. Khamenei having all power in Iran as the first long horn on the Persian ram of Daniel 8, is like Hitler – having all the power.
But then I saw his interview on 60 Minutes the other night and caught something I hadn’t seen before. Prince Mohammad said what he said, with a qualifier – “he wants to expand.”
He also said,
“Many countries around the world and in Europe did not realise how dangerous Hitler was until what happened, happened. I don’t want to see the same events happening in the Middle East.”
This young prince gets it. As the future king of likely the nation that will be the greatest victim of the Second Signpost, he sees the danger from Iran. He sees a power that could expand across the Middle East as Hitler expanded across Europe. Unfortunately, in the future as then, countries won’t realize it can happen until it happens.
This young prince gets it. He sees the Second Signpost as a real possibility.
