A most unexpected event occurred in the Middle East this week. And thanks go to one of our readers for alerting me to it. This story was buried in lesser known websites.
Brigadier General (BG) Ali Nasiri, commander of the IRGC’s Protection Bureau, is believed to have fled from Iran to a US embassy in one of the small Persian Gulf states.

The Iranian regime is, expectedly, downplaying the defection of one of its kings, saying the supreme leader dismissed BG Nasiri.
Nasiri reportedly, “had in possession a large volume of documents recording the travels of senior IRGC commanders, intelligence personnel, and operational units to foreign countries.”
Those who do not know the Signposts (such as the author of this news report) say further about the documents mentioned, “It could represent a coup for the U.S. intelligence community, which has long sought information on Iran’s military apparatus and plans.” It’s the “plans” that caught my attention.
Is it possible the documents contain plans for the Second Signpost? If they do, we’ll likely never know on this side of the Second Signpost because the intelligence community would not want to start a panic in the oil markets nor in the broader economy.
However, those plans may be the final motivator for the US Dept. of Defense (DoD) to start their war with Iran to stop those schemes from being enacted. If the war planners see that—surprise!—the Iranian regime is planning to run out all over the Middle East (I find government leaders typically have a deplorable lack of imagination) that may very well be the final trigger for the US to start a war with Iran.
What US leaders would not know is the Iranian regime’s plans are right out of God’s playbook in His Word—the bear in Daniel 7 and the ram in Daniel 8—and that if that’s the case, nothing will stop those plans, just as Daniel 8:4 says (NASB): “No other beasts could stand before him nor was there anyone to rescue from his power.”
So this unexpected turn of events, this seemingly minor occurrence of some IRGC commander defecting, could be quite significant. Only someone who knows the coming Second Signpost could see the significance of such a development.

THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS 
I don’t think someone like him would have typically defect and release information unless he was concerned about the ramifications of plans that IRGC was about to take. In contemplating upon the sudden recent changes with its leaders, something definitely on the horizon.
Daniel 8:4 says (NASB): “No other beasts could stand before him nor was there anyone to rescue from his power.”
Chapter 5 of “Daniel Revisited” has a section titled “The Identities of the Seven Ancient Dragon Heads and End-Time Beast Heads.” There is a list of four things the ancient dragon heads tried to do against the Jews.
The U.S.A. did not exist until 1776, and has recently acted in ways beneficial to Jews and the State of Israel by moving its embassy to Jerusalem and acknowledging the Golan Heights as part of Israel.
Where the U.S.A. is referred to in Daniel 8:4 is in the words “nor was there anyone to rescue from his [the ram’s] power.” President Trump brought Bible study and prayer back to the White House and allowed ministers to pray over him. Is our 45th President the Cyrus figure prophesied of in Isaiah 45?
Isaiah 45:3-4 NASB:
I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden wealth of secret places,
So that you may know that it is I,
The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.
For the sake of Jacob My servant,
And Israel My chosen one,
I have also called you by your name;
I have given you a title of honor
Though you have not known Me.
We should pray that God will alert President Trump to keep American troops out of the way when Daniel 8:4 must happen.

The article you linked to reads very much like what “Daniel Revisited” predicted. Since the article is based on unnamed “intelligence sources,” one should be wary of possible disinformation. Thanks for linking to the article. If it is based on facts, I may be able to find some corroborating information.
During President Trump’s recent rally in Panama City, Florida, he stated that U.S.A. military protection of Saudi Arabia must be paid for and soon. The implication is that unless Saudi Arabia pays for it, U.S.A. military protection will be withdrawn. The Trump Administration has already been withdrawing troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
Notice in Daniel 8:4 that the ram charges out in every direction except east. On Iran’s eastern border are Afghanistan and Pakistan.
