This NBC story came out four days ago back on January 3. To help justify US President’s Trump order to strike General Soleimani’s motorcade, Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs, made a statement about what was being seen in intelligence just before the attack.
Astonishingly, what he said could be taken as planning for the Second Signpost itself.
Gen. Milley said:
“We had clear, compelling, unambiguous intelligence to indicate Qassem Soleimani was planning, coordinating, and directing a significant campaign of violence against the United States in the coming days.”
There is enough in that statement to suggest—as Gen. McKenzie has been seeing—that intelligence was telling our military leadership about at least part of the preparations for the Second Signpost. For example, US generals might see planning to attack their own assets, but not the oil facilities of, say, the UAE.
So what exactly were the “unambiguous” signs showing IRGC commanders planning a “significant campaign of violence” against the US, and soon, in the “coming days”? We are not told.
However, looking at it this way, it could only mean one of two things: either the attacks were (1) just more individual attacks on some American assets and nothing more, or (2) the attack planning that was seen was a slice of the actual total picture we know as the Second Signpost.
If it was just more single attacks, the assassination of Soleimani has made the IRGC community cry out for vengeance. If it was planning for the Second Signpost, the assassination of Soleimani has made the IRGC not only more resolute in getting rid of the US military from the region, but also more united with its Shia allies in other countries, and likely more focused in doing what they are planning to do.
If indeed the Second Signpost is being planned and is the “significant attacks,” then indeed, it is very close, since it is in the “coming days.”
It is very possible that up to the end of 2019, the Second Signpost would either be carried out in a way contradictorily of less scope than that of Daniel 8, or not at all. It is very possible that the assassination of Soleimani has caused the dominoes to fall one after the other in such a way that the events of Daniel 7 and 8 could be carried out exactly as God has recorded in His Word.

No, except my guess is likely during the Second Signpost.
‘If it is not God’s time you can’t force it. If it is God’s time you can’t stop it.’ Saw this just recently but felt it somehow fitted the situation we are facing. Bottom line is, we need to be prepared. We need to be deligent in knowing God’s word, especially concerning the days in which we are living. It’s frustrating how little we hear in our Churches & how little or how ignorant most Christians are concerning these days & really, they don’t want to know either.
I live in Australia. Right now we are all learning what it means to ‘Be Prepared’ for natural disasters and what is means if you are not! The urgency re natural disaster & being prepared, needs to be applied to God’s people.
