On closer inspection, there are similarities between Hamas’ attack on southern Israel and how the Second Signpost—the attack and invasion by Iran on Mideast Muslim nations—might play out.
And why not? After all, the IRGC trained Hamas and all the militants in the regions around Israel. I believe we have a window into how the IRGC will conduct war during the Second Signpost.
Opening Rocket Attack
First, Hamas used as many as 5,000 rockets to cause shock, diverting eyes from the Hamas militants pouring out. The IRGC will likely do the same thing at the very start of the Second Signpost as written about here and here.
Pouring Over Borders
Second, Hamas militants breached the border with Israel and ran out when the defensive force of Israel (the IDF) was not manning their stations. IDF orders were for that division to temporarily move to Palestine. Might also the IRGC finally breach the borders with nations when the US military in no longer manning their stations?
Running From Place to Place
Third, the militants ran about from town to town to town, just like the bear of Daniel 7:5 that runs about from place to place causing mayhem (Prov. 28:15). Also, the militants were seen using motorcycles. The driver drives around letting the rider who bears the weapons, unleash death wherever they go. This was seen years ago in IRGC training (see this post).
Slaying
Fourth, the militants committed acts of violence wherever they went, just as the IRGC will all over the Middle East, just as Revelation 6:4 says of the second horseman, “Its rider was given power to . . . make men slay each other.” Reports are now coming out of Hamas having murdered young and old, and raping women.
Conclusion
I believe that with this attack by Hamas on southern Israel, God gave us—that is, those who are watching for the Signposts—some possible confirmation as to how the attack by IRGC on the Middle East at large will unfold. The style of warfare to be conducted by the IRGC for the Second Signpost has been speculated about on this website, and now with Hamas’ aggression we have confirmation of it.

Hamas has shown, in all their terrible deeds butchering and beheading babies and young children that their stated goal of wiping out the nation of Israel as genuine and not just an exaggeration.
No one with any sense can justify such action and those that identify with the ‘free Palestine” cause in general need to realise what their true desire is, equality in co existence is not on their Islamic fundamentalist agenda.
Sorry in continuation, might not the three ribs be Hamas. Hezbollah and the Jihad group being told by the bear (given the “go or green light) to devour much flesh?

As I wrote about in Daniel Revisited, the three ribs of the bear are the equivalent of the three directions the ram runs. In other words, the order to gorge is coming from the three directions that the ram will run.
I’m in full agreement with your article. The minute Israel got hit by Hamas, I knew in my heart that we’re in the Psalm 83 war.

I was listening to Derek walker of Oxford Bible Church. Great scholar and like yourself reserved and resists hyperbole. He was saying that he thinks the Psalm 83 prophecy is an ongoing one that started in 1948 when Israel came to the land.
I wish that people would sit up and take notice of the fact that endless times Hamas, Iran etc state openly that their desire is to see Israel annihilated and similarly the ‘Big Satan” of the US, yet know one seems to realise that the IS their intention.
