Russia and China have been—whether they know it or not—preparing for the Second Signpost.
In mid-2022, I wrote this post about how Europe’s embargo of Russian oil would not only cause all the Russian oil to be redirected away from flowing to Europe, to flow to nations in the east (i.e. China and India), but that it would make China more immune to the Second Signpost, and make Europe more vulnerable.
A recent article at Oilprice shows how this state of affairs has progressed. It says 90 percent of all Russian oil exported now goes to China and India, with only 4 percent or so going to Europe. As the article says, “The figures suggest that China has essentially replaced Europe as destination for Russian crude and oil products.”
When the Second Signpost strikes and the price of oil sky rockets, China will likely outbid India for the remainder of Russia’s oil. This will be disastrous for India, but put China in a better position to take advantage of its oil-poor neighbors (e.g. Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, etc.) and so conquer and occupy them.
Russia and China have also entered additional economic partnerships besides BRICS.
Conclusion
What all this means is that following the effects of the Second Signpost and loss of oil worldwide, China will now be better enabled geopolitically in the end time. China will not only be in a better position to take over the entire eastern part of the world following the Second Signpost, but in the year or two just prior to Christ’s return, will also pose a challenge to the Antichrist as the Bible suggests in Revelation 16:12 and Daniel 11:44.
Russia is also now in a better position to oppose the Antichrist, to contain the reach of his empire north to Europe only. With the sanctions and Ukraine war actually strengthening Russia’s military and economy, coupled with its nuclear arsenal, Russia is in a better position now then it was before 2020.

You’re missing a step Mark, the Indian oil is flowing to Europe. Europe is getting the Russian oil just with an Indian markup. The soviet era german refineries REQUIRE the Russian Urals to operate properly.
Hi Stu
You’re right — forgot about that!
Well, in the end it will still likely not change things as China will still outbid India for Russia’s oil, and Europe is left out.
You’ve also touched on another problem many countries have – that of old refineries only able to handle certain grades. It reminds me of New Zealand, which, for many years has pumped domestically all the oil it needs, but exports it in exchange for oil from the Middle East because the Kiwis won’t upgrade their refineries. Where New Zealand could weather the Second Signpost if they prepared, now they can’t.
We are living in interesting times. I need to pick up your latest book. I’m watching the Houthies and the Iraqies vs the US always with your stuff in mind.
Hey, while I have you on the line, a thought occurred to me recently that cannot possibly be original with me, because I have no original thoughts lol, is that many of the end times study-ers put forth the idea that the gentiles troddening down of Jerusalem ended with the ’67 war.
But the most important piece of property – the dome of the rock – is still getting troddened down. It’s disputable exactly where Solomon’s temple was, but regardless if the dome is it or it is just next door, it’s still the major troddening down of Jerusalem that has been since it was built. So it seems like clocks cant’ be stopped or started while that dome is there.
Stu –
I’ve gone back and forth on that 2520-year theory myself. The 19-year difference between Jerusalem being trodden vs the Temple being trodden by King Neb back in 606/586 BC, resulting in its end in 1948/1967. Interesting, but still not sure.
Speaking of my last book, it provides some sense about what’s going on in the end times in the rest of the world, and tells us how to prepare.

Mark, found this article on oilprice.com
It talks about Iran’s agenda, as you have been speaking about as well.
Unbelievable events this week, Mark!
Second and Third signposts definitely coming into better view.

Mark, a new small group formed at our church and my wife and I stumbled into joining it. I don’t think we were originally envisioned to be a part of it but anyway they chose Daniel as their first book.
I think that choice may have had to do with an interaction I had with the leaders regarding a few Jack Hibb’s videos on the end times. I had mentioned in the past that I do not believe in the pre-trib rapture view anymore, due to discovering the work of you, Joel Richardson, Nelson Walters and even Tim Warner. They challenged me to view Hibb’s videos and so then I responded with a partial take-down of his more or less standard pre-trib take on the end times.
Anyway, I been frantically brushing up on things re-reading what I already had and purchasing your Chronicles, Hidden Babylon and the mini Iran book.
I must say the chiastic-ness is such a beautiful thing.
By the way have you ever heard of Dr Ivan Panin? He was an atheist Harvard professor in the late 1800’s who discovered that because both the Hebrew and Greek language letters also serve as numbers that a sort of validation process can be applied to the text like the readily apparent heptadic structure, but also extending to many other prime numbers.
One example is, apparently (I am not a Greek scholar so I cannot verify), the fact that each new testament book has a number of unique words that are not found in any of the other new testament books, and total count of the words in every book is divisible by seven.
So it boggles the mind that God could interweave an artsy poetical thing like chiasism with the other side of the brain geek math at the same time. Each concept is separately mind boggling, but together wow!
Anyway, getting our group to consider the non-pre-trib point of view and offering your ideas for example is exciting but challenging. I have a hard time not talking too much and heading into tangential material.
We are following a study guide by old-earther JI Packer presenting the standard Europe-centric view of things. Mark Twain said, paraphrasing, its harder to change someone’s mind about something than to originally convince them.
Somewhere along the line I’m going to inject some introductory chiastic concepts into the conversation, probably right out of Chronicles, and we’ll see where we go.
Hi Stu,
Appendix D of Hidden Babylon has, from what I have seen of comments, a short and straightforward argument for the Post-Trib Rapture.
Also, my next video on YouTube will be on the Post-Trib Rapture and Appendix D.
God bless.
