Khamenei’s Son Mojtaba Elected Next Supreme Leader

(3 March 2026) This Iranian news source and this Israeli source (ynetnews) both report that Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, is now the official third supreme leader of Iran.

He was elected in a rushed election by the Assembly of Experts.

Mojtaba Khamenei is the third elected supreme leader of the regime. The Assembly of Experts is also, apparently, still there.

Motjaba Khamenei, second son of Ali Khamenei, and third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As I suspected in this earlier post, it has become known that not only were the members of the Assembly of Experts not voting when the building was hit, but they were not even there, per ynetnews.

As an aside with Daniel 11:2, only God knows if Alireza Arafi counts as the third king. If Arafi does not, then Motjaba Khamenei is the third king. All this talk of how many kings is irrelevant if Daniel 11:2 does not apply to the end times.

Khamenei, like his late father, is a hardline conservative cleric and just as capable to order the Second Signpost as much as his father would have.

  1. “Khamenei, like his late father, is a hardline conservative cleric and just as capable to order the Second Signpost as much as his father would have.”

  2. Not to mention he has more motivation than most if he wishes to avenge his late father.
