(24 March 2026) It is now 10 pm MST March 24, or, 5 AM GMT, March 25.
As of now, the Strait of Hormuz continues to be blocked. It has been blocked for 24 days. About 384 to 480 million barrels of oil have been removed from global oil supplies by Iran’s closing of the Strait of Hormuz.
The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. Until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out, this is not over.
We have seen many news stories in the last few days, reporting of hard times hitting various countries.
This analysis from oilprice.com makes the case that the Strait of Hormuz could be blocked for a long time.
The article begins with a quote from Richard Allen Williams, a retired US Army colonel and former NATO Defense Investment Division official:
“I can think of no way to reopen and keep open Hormuz militarily and easily.”
The reason is four-fold.
First are the drones and missiles that the IRGC could launch at any time, taking out a ship.
Second are the mines. They are easy to place and much harder to remove.
Third is electronic jamming. Ship’s locators show their ships on land, and with such a narrow channel to travel, collision will likely increase.
And fourth is insurance. No insurance company will insure a ship to go through the Strait at this time.
Conclusion
Unless the IRGC is truly neutralized (and how would you know that?), it seems most ships cannot traverse the Strait for a long time. And whether or not Iran successfully takes out more oil infrastructure in the Arab nations doesn’t matter—the economic picture of the world and the US Petrodollar will both continue to degrade at an accelerated rate.
Keep watch.
After thought—Psalm 91 came to mind this afternoon. I leave the NIV 1984 version here with you. It seems appropriate for about now.
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the Lord, who is my refuge—10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Thank you for recommending Tousi TV for coverage of what’s going on in Iran. Even the less-than-mainstream media seems to be blinded by their own narrative. So is Tousi, but he provides details that no others do.
One interesting detail yesterday was that a lot of Basij had abandoned their posts. While this might simply be to avoid getting bombed, it seems like it might also be in preparation for the ram going out?
David,
Absolutely! Yes.
this seems like It’s turning into a long-term war like Russia and Ukraine? but Iran has escalation dominance, it would also seem that in a fashion Iran is already pushing out in all directions. Americans are leaving bases in Iraq, and Iraq is aligning itself with Iran and the Houthis Hezbollah is having a measure of success, so for the next several months bombings of Israel and United States bases will continue on a regular basis wearing the West and Israel down, while bombings in Iran will decrease because of lack of ordinances! in the United States our life patterns will continue, we in the West will have a slight bump in oil prices and food prices but will get used to it and manage, pretty soon we’ll be forgetting about the middle Eastern war. until Trump does something else that’s crazy, Time to get back to our regular life with an eye on the middle East I guess. so the second sign post will continue for the foreseeable future.
Hopeful,
You might have summarized it well. One thing I would take as different this time is, since the Second Signpost in its full mode will be horrific economically, I feel the Lord is mercifully giving us a little more time to prepare.
Food may be very expensive this coming Fall to the extent we might see unrest. I myself have hauled in 3 cubic yards of composted manure for the garden for better yields, and enlarging the chicken/egg operation.
