(8 April 2026) It is now 10 pm MST April 8, or, 5 AM GMT, April 9. As of now, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked for 39 days, from any traffic that the regime does not approve of.
The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play.
The two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan doesn’t seem to be much of a ceasefire.
This FoxNews story reports that missiles were flying only hours after the “ceasefire” took effect, from Iran to Israel and Kuwait, and Israel back to Hezbollah.
What the ceasefire did was to perhaps cool down hot heads it seems.
The regime “agreed” to open up the Strait of Hormuz, but it is still only open to those they choose to let through and then only for the usual $2 million toll fee.
So the Strait is still effectively blocked.
Oil prices dropped 10 to 15 percent on news of the “ceasefire”.
Conclusion
There is a belief, that I share, that the two sides are only repositioning themselves, buying time.
When will the war restart? It’ll probably be sooner than two weeks.
In the meantime, those who can prepare materially have perhaps a few extra days.
Keep watch.

Already before the present Gulf war started, some meteorologists warned that 2026 will probably get a strong El Nino, affecting food production negatively in large parts of the world. USA climate models still predict this. European climate models even predict a very strong El Nino which, if really happening, will decrease the world’s food production more than the entire fertilizer shortage caused by the Gulf war. Together this means a perfect storm for famine:

The following article from Pakistan gives a good overview of what the present fertilizer shortage already means now, and then with El Nino on top of it:
https://economy.com.pk/global-food-crisis-2026-hormuz-fertilizer-shortage/
A few quotes:
“The Strait of Hormuz crisis has detonated one of the most severe shocks to global agricultural supply chains in a generation.”
“The United States produces roughly three-quarters of the fertilizer it consumes and is partially insulated. But Brazil imports more than 80 percent of its fertilizers, relying heavily on Gulf-sourced nitrogen and phosphate.”
“… a late-developing El Niño carries its own risks for the western Pacific Rim — drought in parts of Australia, Southeast Asia, and southern Africa — arriving precisely as the fertilizer shock is biting hardest into 2026–27 crop cycles.
The climate and geopolitical shocks are not additive. They are multiplicative. A farmer who cannot afford fertilizer is far more vulnerable to a drought stress event than a well-nourished crop. The margin for error has narrowed catastrophically.”
Note the word “multiplicative”. It seems that peace-of-mind over food security is going to be taken away from a very large part of the earth if the very strong El Nico comes. The consequences for poor countries will be terrible. When governments realise this, it is even possible that here and there will be fighting over fertilizers, and food, removing peace even literally, replacing it by war. El Nico can cause droughts, so fighting over water is possible too.
I’m not too sure the war will start soon. I actually think there’s nothing the United States can do right now there’s no other places to bomb, irans missile capacity is still intact, and they have the huge benefits of being able to control the world economy by closing the straight. my view is for what it’s worth, talks will go on with the United States but Israel will not comply, eventually Iran will start firing back at Israel because of Lebanon and maybe at the GCC’s if they get too involved. I have no problem with the signpost the second signpost lasting several years, sometimes we see prophecy has to be fulfilled in a certain time period mainly quickly but it could take effect over a longer period of time. before the final act of the Ram pushing out alliances will have to be made Iraq, Lebanon, Oman, Yemen to name a few, so alliances will be built which will make the pushing out easier at the end all the while forces will be built up in and around Turkey eventually. of course it’s only speculation on my part but most of what’s going to happen on the ground people will be speculating all over the place. The biggest thing to come out of this war so far is Iran will be charge of the world economy, their greatness is just beginning.
Hopeful,
Agreed. God’s in control and we are in for the ride.
Adamant,
Thanks for the links! Looks like they might be a good topic for a post.
