Day 57: US Releasing SPR Oil to Europe

(26 April 2026) It is now 10 pm MST April 26, or, 4 AM GMT, April 27. As of now, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked for 57 days.

The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. And it will remain in play until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out across the Middle East.

America Selling Its Oil to Europe

This news story from oilprice.com reports that the US government is selling 80 million barrels of oil to Europe. These barrels are coming from America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).

Apparently these 80 million barrels are part of the 400 million barrels to be released by nations around the world, to cushion the blow of the oil shortage.

Oil like this is being released from reserves because most nations of the world as well as the US are treating the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and this oil shortage as only temporary.

However, once the Second Signpost is confirmed and taking hold, it will only be seen in hindsight that those strategic reserves should be saved for food production or in case of invasion by a foreign power.

By releasing reserves it makes the strategic situation in a country more dire as the oil remaining for true emergencies has been reduced.
