Day 60: What a Predicament

(29 April 2026) We are now looking at the Strait of Hormuz having been closed now for two months, or 60 days. It is now 11 pm MST April 29, or, 5 AM GMT, April 30.

The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. And it will remain in play until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out across the Middle East.

The amount of oil removed from the global economy is somewhere around 800 to 900 million barrels.

Painted Into a Corner

This news article from Iran International reports that the Trump administration is content to just keep the Strait closed. And this is because it seems the US has painted itself into a corner with no easy or pleasant way out.

The Strait should be reopened as soon as possible. However, if tit isn’t then we are indeed witnessing the opening half of the Second Signpost.

Consider all the misery caused by the Strait staying closed. Reduced food harvests are coming this autumn; millions in various countries wonder how they are going to cook their meals and get to work.

And as it stays closed, the peace of mind of the earth will continue to ebb away.

And yet, because of the command structure of the IRGC, the regime cannot be bombed out of existence. Therefore, Iran can keep the Strait closed if it chooses to do so.

It seems evil at most and insensitive or tunnel-visioned at least, that the Strait is kept closed by the United States trying to finish off the regime.

There are no easy or pleasant ways to re-open the Strait.

It seems there are only two ways to open the Strait. The first would be for US forces to withdraw, and let Iran control the Strait with China. This is bad for the West. The second option is for the US or Israel to literally nuke various targets in Iran. But that breaks the international taboo of using nukes and you can bet China might nuke Taiwan or Russia might nuke Ukraine.

The US military could invade Iran, but that would not be quick.

Conclusion

The world is in a geopolitical and economic mess created by the US. That mess is likely the Second Signpost. It shouldn’t be too long—maybe a month or two—when the effects of oil shortages make things even more unbearable, even for America, and we see the regime’s armies march across the Middle East Muslim nations.

Plant that garden. Store up what you can. It looks to be a bumpy ride ahead.
