Day 59: Don’t Forget the Electronics

(28 April 2026) It is now 10 pm MST April 28, or, 4 AM GMT, April 29. As of now, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked for 59 days.

The idea of the Second Signpost having started March 2 is still in play. And it will remain in play until the regime is completely disbanded, or until the Ram runs out across the Middle East.

This oilprice article reminds us of the coming shock in electronics. Since the world’s helium supply has been reduced by one-third due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, not only will there be a shortage of chips for smart phones, computers, and AI, but prices will be greatly elevated.

Cooled helium is necessary to prevent silicon wafers from warping while they are etched.

Not only will there be a price rise (maybe a doubling?) due to fewer devices available, but the spot price of helium has already doubled.

Conclusion

The second horseman’s taking away of the peace of mind from the world is going to manifest in many ways.

Not only will there be a definite shortage of food this winter due to the loss of the fertilizer getting into the ground, and a loss of oil for transport and energy, but there will also be an impact to technology.

Keep watch.
