(15 June 2026) It is now 10 pm MST June 15, or, 4 AM GMT, June 16. The Strait has now been closed to normal traffic for 107 days.
We have been watching world and Mideast events, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost. It started with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz back on March 2nd, which was the beginning of the second horseman’s efforts to take peace of mind from the earth.
If we are witnessing the start of the Second Signpost, it will culminate—in one way or another—with a full boots-on-the-ground invasion by Iran of much of the Middle East.
The Memo of Understanding (MOU)
The MOU with Iran presents the status going forward of major issues, along with the goal of hammering out a complete peace deal within 60 days.
The major points are –
1) End of all military operations in Iran and Lebanon.
2) Strait of Hormuz to be completely open.
3) Strait of Hormuz to be regulated by Iran.
4) Iran will dilute its enriched uranium.
5) Nuclear and sanctions issues to be discussed and agreed on within 60 days.
6) US will release $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets.
Conclusions
So, who “won” the war?
The regime will continue to exist. The IRGC and the office of the supreme leader have survived. The US did not achieve the objective to end the regime. According to the Signposts, Turkey ends the regime during the Third Signpost.
Iran pledges to not pursue a nuclear weapon and turn over or dilute its enriched uranium. It is very possible the whole nuke issue was a diversion, so Iran is giving up nothing, and the US gets nothing.
The Strait of Hormuz will re-open but under oversight from the IRGC. The regime advances here to a better position.
I would say Iran won the war. Another factor is how much money and interceptors/missiles were expended. Depending on the class of weapon it is anywhere from one-fourth to one-half of all rounds available globally. In other words, the ability to wage conventional war was reduced by that much.
The Persian Ram will survive to fight another day.
Meanwhile many nations are dealing with fuel shortages and facing famine. Not only did the US lose, but much of the world did too.
Keep watch.

Mark ,,, I agree with you. The U.S. did not win this War. The only agreement we got was to re-open the Strait of Hormuz which was open until Iran was attacked by the U.S. and Isreal. Since Isreal was not invited to the peace talks, I am deeply suspicious that it will not be signed on Friday because Isreal (being left out of the Peace talks) has not agreed to leave Lebanon or Gaza. Also, I am suspicious that Iran will not agree to the strings attached to the release of the 24 billion $$$ . Many questions … no answers at this time. Many unknows that we will not know until this coming Saturday.
The bear raised to one side will appear to eat much meat. A lot of money given to Iran, much more than Obama ever gave!
A draft of the memorandum of understanding was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal:
The Trump-Iran deal allows Tehran to immediately sell oil. The agreement also waives banking and transport sanctions to facilitate transactions. This is already proven true: Two Iranian supertankers full of oil already were allowed through the US blockade with their transponders on, so in all openness.
If Iran goes along with American demands to destroy its stockpile of enriched uranium and dismantle its nuclear program, the agreement provides for even greater financial relief: a $300 billion regional reconstruction and development fund for Iran to repair damage done by the war. In a briefing Monday, senior Trump administration officials said the U.S. and Iran have discussed this, as well as relief of the 40 years of sanctions and restoring Tehran’s access to its estimated $100 billion in frozen funds.

So I imagine this sums up the negotiations:
Iran: “What will you pay us for opening the Strait for real?”
Trump: “Anything. Everything.”
Iran: “It’s a deal.”
And it gets even crazier.
President Ahmed al-Sharaa of Syria is present at the G7 conference in Davos…
“Syria, emerging from its 14-year civil war as an ally of the West, is seeking to rebuild an economy shattered by years of conflict and sanctions.”
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/syrias-sharaa-attend-g7-summit-france-sources-say-2026-05-21/
Trump is not satisfied with the way Israel is waging war in Lebanon. During the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains he suggested that, as far as he is concerned, Syria could take over the fight against Hezbollah in Lebanon. “Because to be honest, I think they would do a better job,” said Trump.
Al-Sharaa has been saying for months that he has no interest in interfering in internal Lebanese affairs. But now he was cornered by Trump. Trump and al-Sharaa always claim to be good friends, and al-Sharaa also hopes for financial aid from the United States for the reconstruction of Syria. If he does not respond to this suggestion from Trump, that might change.
Because the relationship between Israel and the US is deteriorating. Despite pressure from Trump, Israel is going its own way and carried out attacks in southern Lebanon again today. This shows that Trump does not have Netanyahu “under control”. According to Trump, Netanyahu is thereby obstructing all his attempts at a peace deal with Iran.

The US empowering Syria and setting loose the Syrian Sunni-extremists against Hezbollah ???
Should Syria really do that, then Iran has the biggest reason ever to attack the Sunni nations with a ground offensive, for drones and missiles alone would not save Hezbollah from the tough Sunni extremists that have fought it for so long…
After Iran having been empowered by the very same US…
Even US own intelligence now acknowledges how much the US has empowered Iran. Only through this war Iran has realised fully that they are way more powerful than they knew before. They can close both Straits of Hormuz and Bab-el-Mandeb at will from now on:

Meanwhile, Ebola is getting further out of control:

Finally, the number of news media that warn against the effects of the intensifying El Nino is growing rapidly. So does the intensity of their warnings: food insecurity and water scarcity are projected in ever more parts of the world: Africa, South-East Asia, Australia… The UN has already started transporting emergency food to the most vulnerable regions.
Today for the first time I read about analysts daring to mention that a famine greater than any known before might be coming.
The World Food Program (WFP) calculated that in 2025, 318 million people did have acute hunger.
Soon after the Strait was closed, the WFP calculated that this would become 363 million in 2026.
But this calculation only included scarcer and more expensive fuel, afflicting transport and agricultural machines.
When taking into account both the fertiliser shortage and El Nino, we are in unchartered territory.
100 – 200 million more people with acute hunger is feared now, even if traffic through the Strait would resume now.
That would amount to around half a billion victims.
