Where Are We Now (Day 108)

(16 June 2026) It is now 11 pm MST June 16, or, 5 AM GMT, June 17. The Strait has now been closed to normal traffic for 108 days. Though the peace deal, or MOU, is to be signed on Friday June 19, marinetraffic.com still shows no oil or cargo traffic yet going through the Strait.

We will still count the days of the closure until the Strait is re-opened. The days of closure are a measure of how much oil has been removed from global inventories (12 to 15 million barrels multiplied by however many days of the closure).

Where Are We Now

If we just witnessed the first phase of the Second Signpost, then we saw the second horseman starting to take away the peace of mind of the earth.

Southeast Asian countries are hurting the most right now, with people not being able to get to work, and not being able to cook their food. The draw-downs of oil global inventories has brought many more countries like Japan and some European countries to the precipice.

If the peace with Iran holds for a time, then the IRGC will use this time to restore munitions and possibly finish their plans as to the next phase of the war.

A Trap Will Be Set for the Second Signpost

If this peace deal keeps for awhile, then people’s perception will be that things are returning to normal.

But the situation is far from that. You still have a fully armed IRGC and Basij that still wants to cause economic chaos worldwide, and conquer the Muslim nations of the Middle East in order to bring out their Mahdi.

In other words, the destruction of Arab oil facilities and the IGC running out could happen in the future at any time; whenever the US military is deemed to not be a threat anymore by the IRGC. It would take the world by surprise.

Conclusion

We are not out of the woods yet.

What has happened so far, insofar as the Southeast Asian nations were affected so deleteriously, and global oil stocks were drawn down so severely, should alone tell us this is a special time and likely the Second Signpost.

Keep watch.

  1. Trump was very worried about the effects of the US-Iran war on the midterm elections (prices went up, etc.). He is, in my opinion, stalling the attack for after the midterm elections on 3 November. In the MoU it also states that the 60-days can be extended if both parties are willing to, and because this is such a “complicated negotiation”, it’ll probably extended a couple of times (just like Trump extended his ‘threats’ deadlines over and over again).

The MoU’s initial 60-days end on 18 august, only 2.5 months of “extra” negotiations until after the midterms. Seems far away, but keep in mind that the first ceasefire of the Iran-US War began on April 8, 2026 and was supposed to be for 2 weeks. It’s now more than 2 months.

  2. Mij,
Good point. If Iran hasn’t re-started the war by November 3, Trump may very well do so afterwards.

  3. Iran won’t restart it, they are patiently waiting for the US to attack first, so they can have plausibility to the international community for a response attack. They will stall advancements of talks, not concede, and just not budge diplomatically so that they will ‘force’ the US and Israel to strike them. This will also paint Israel (and the US) in a even worse light internationally, and put the blame of the resulting fallout (e.g. oil factories destroyed, oil prices going up, gas scarcity, etc) on the US and Israel.

Iran knows Trump has a short fuse and Israel is chomping at the bit to attack Iran. What do you think will happen when Iran stalls and not budge post-midterms? I think it’s a possibility that Trump goes all out and attack oil/gas/electric infrastructure in Iran. If that happens, Iran has the perfect excuse to go ‘blow for blow’ and mow down all Gulf infrastructure and the international community will blame the US and Israel for the escalation. That’s why Iran always threatens to bomb down the Gulf if the US were to strike their infrastructure first.

  4. Mij,
. . . and November is a perfect time of year for a ground invasion of the Middle East.
