(5 July 2026) It is now 10 pm MST July 5, or, 5 AM GMT, July 6. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
The Strait of Hormuz was closed solidly for 112 days starting on March 2. It was then open for six (6) days.
As of today, it seems to be mostly closed again and has now been closed for nine (9) days, though a few ships are going through. Marinetraffic.com right now shows only a few ships going through the Strait at the moment.
News pieces like this one report that US-Iran peace talks are to start up again July 11 in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital city
Conclusion
Unless the US or Iran attacks the other before July 11, we have at least several days of relative stability to continue to prepare. Unless of course events with Russia boil over.
Keep watch.
