(12 July 2026) It is now 10 pm MST July 12, or, 5 AM GMT, July 13. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
The Strait of Hormuz is closed again. The Strait was closed solidly for 112 days starting on March 2, allowing the global inventory of oil to drain to near zero.
It has now been 22 days that the closure ended and the Strait opened, but now the Strait is closed again.
Daniel Davis interviewing Col. MacGregor yet again in a video sums up the situation with Iran and the US. From 00:00 to 01:37, it is reported that Iran can not only easily hold the Strait but can also eliminate any Arab position on the west side of the Gulf it would choose.
Conclusion
Nothing has changed in the big picture, except as we might expect, there is escalation in attacks by the US on Iran, and attacks by Iran on the Arab nations around the Gulf.
We have been asking out loud, is this the start of the Second Signpost? Nothing has changed in the big picture to tell us this is not the Second signpost opening up.
Keep watch.

Mark, this just totally hit me this morning about Ancient Greece as I pondered on it more…. so I googled as to which current nation has been strongly influenced by Greece culture and ideology. Got me wondering if we are the goat.
From Google search
The United States is arguably the most heavily influenced modern nation outside of Greece. America’s Founders deliberately modeled their tripartite government system on the Ancient Greek theories of democracy. [1, 2]
Gary,
Interesting thought, but not likely. We will see. All nations involved are the seven nations immediately surrounding Israel. Besides, Scripture itself says the goat is the king of Yavan.
Mark: We’ve all been told that we have new secret weapons that can shoot down anything. Lasers and the like. I suppose something likes those exit, but if they were real and available wouldn’t the U.S. Navy shoot down all Iranian drones like clockwork? It seems like if laser weapons were actually avaible the Iranians couldn’t close Hormuz. You’re a scientist. Am I missing something?
I would say absolutely this is the second signpost you can see the IRGC with the approval of the people are getting stronger and the elected officials are a little quiet now. The IRGC is just beginning to put troops along the northern border because of the Western proxies there, it would seems like we have a couple years left before Turkey takes over the situation obviously with the help the Americans, but as it stands now you can sense the frustration in the West and the greater confidence in Iran maybe eventually that confidence will be their downfall not maybe scripture says it will be… as well the rest of the middle East seems to be getting stirred up the Yemens and Saudi Arabia, it seems like it’s a slow boil everywhere…
Karl,
From what I know about the topic, lasers powerful enough to punch holes in things, in the atmosphere, at any distance of many miles or more, take alot of power and a bulk of equipment and chemicals. Lasers have been tested to take down ballistic missiles, and there has been some success but that’s because ballistic missiles are big and travel relatively straight. Drones, with the variable speeds and paths would be notoriously hard to shoot down with a laser, in my opinion.
Hopeful,
It’s a slow boil. You are right on all points. I can say that all this is the Second Signpost to maybe 90 percent confidence. But we won’t know for sure until we see it actually culminate in the IRGC/Basij conquering Muslim nations. I’m glad you are watching.
