Day 3 of 3-Day Alert: Some Escalation Now, Some Later

(21 July 2026) It is now 10 pm MST July 21, or, 4 AM GMT, July 22. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 143 days. The global storage of oil of 1.2 billion barrels has been mostly emptied.

An alert was posted on this site three days ago that we may be hours or days away from the Second Signpost breaking wide open.

We saw Iran put the US on notice two days ago, about retaliation for the US destroying any Iranian power plants and/or continuing its attacks regardless saying,

“If the Americans continue the war in the next two or three days, we will enter a phase of full-scale offensive and destruction.”

Status of the Alert

So we are now on day 3 of the “two or three days.” So what has happened? Where are we at?

The Second Signpost is not yet. However, there has been some escalation towards that end.

Newsmax reports the US continues to attack for an 11^th day. That is the 3^rd day of Iran’s current threat.

In retaliation, Iran struck several oil tankers of several nations in the Strait or near the Strait. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center tracks ship status and has several tankers flagged as on fire with the crews having abandoned ship.

So that might be the extent of Iran’s retaliation against many nations, from their threat given 3 days ago.

Next Round

In a response to Iran’s tanker attacks, President Trump said the US was next going to attack Pickaxe Mountain which is the location for much of Iran’s nuclear weapon infrastructure.

Iran responded with the following threat:

“The criminal United States has threatened to attack the nuclear and sensitive centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. All interests of the United States, its allies and the supporters of that rogue and evil country will be targeted in a powerful assault.”

The next question is, when Iran says “all interests,” to what extent are we talking?

Conclusion

It seems President Trump is not the only one keeping its enemies back on their heels. The regime is also.

Iran’s last threat sounded like the Second Signpost, but “only” tankers were taken out. It could have been much worse.

Now this threat with its, “All interests of the United States, its allies and the supporters of that rogue and evil country will be targeted,” also sounds like the Second Signpost.

I suppose the worst part of Trump and the regime both being nebulous with their threats, is bracing for the moment the Second Signpost breaks forth in all its fury. Is it this time? Is it three iterations of attacks and threats from now?

It’s like being strung along.
