Two Iranian Threats and Talk of the Second Signpost

(22 July 2026) It is now 10 pm MST July 22, or, 4 AM GMT, July 23. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 144 days. The global storage of oil of 1.2 billion barrels has been mostly emptied.

The Iranian regime is presenting two threats: one direct threat and one that is “theoretical” and indirect.

Direct Threat

The direct threat is reported by ZeroHedge. A senior Iranian official said,

“If the Americans target an Iranian bridge or power plant, Iran will respond by striking infrastructure and bridges across the region, including energy facilities in which the United States has interests,” the official said according semi-official news agency Tasnim. The Americans should by now, after these past ten days, be fully convinced that Iran strikes wherever it decides to strike.”

Any energy facility of an American allied country may or may not be an oil facility. It could be a utility.

And so the threat to the Arab oil infrastructure continues.

“Theoretical” Threat

The theoretical threat, is the Second Signpost invasion itself, pointed to by Daniel Davis in a 5-minute video that just came out today.

In the first 30 seconds or so, Davis dives right in, asking if Iranian forces might just move in to Kuwait and other countries.

His guest, Professor Marandi, says at time 00:33,

“Actually, I think what is more imminent is the possibility that Yemen could enter Saudi Arabia. First of all, destroy their oil facilities and then enter Saudi Arabia. They have a huge army and the Saudis are very vulnerable.

Then at time 01:02, Marandi continues,

“Then you have the resistance in Iraq. The resistance in Iraq is larger than Hezbollah with all of its reserve forces. So you have in Iraq maybe 150,000 200,000 people who are affiliated to the resistance and they are . . . supportive of the Iranians . . . If there is all out war, then the Iraqi resistance itself can take Kuwait easily. And if the Iraqis take Kuwait and want it for themselves, I’m pretty sure that the Iranians will be very fine, you know, they’ll be quite fine with it.”

Davis was closer to guessing the Second Signpost invasion by suggesting Iranian troops move out. Marandi says proxies might, or could, invade.

Conclusion

The Second Signpost suggests it’s Iranian boots on the ground due to the Persian Ram getting all it wants to do. Marandi mentions proxies invading rather than Iran. The interpreted invasion to the north, west, and south has the room to say it might be carried out in part by proxies, but, and this is a big and conditional but, the proxies would need to come under the direct command of the supreme leader and the IRGC. For it is the Persian Ram, who are the kings of the Medes and Persians, that run out. So it could partially be proxies, but the regime must lead completely.

Also, the regime views itself as the leader and unifier of creating the Shia united community across the Middle East.

In any case, for there to be any discussion like this at all means people are starting to see what might happen, and the Second Signpost is indeed taking shape. And the awfulness of the effects of the Signpost are reflected in Davis’ words at the end of his video:

“God help us if we get into that because that would almost certainly thrust us into a great depression. How could it not?”

I will reach out to his channel about the Second Signpost. Maybe some of you might also. Who knows? He might respond.

Be ready.

Keep watch.
