Iran Gearing Up For Full Second Signpost

(17 August 2026) It is now 7 pm MST August 17, or, 1 AM GMT, August 18. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.

We have been watching since February 28. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since March 2, and has been so for 169 days.

The Unmitigated Second Signpost

The Second Signpost in all its glory is told to us by the Ram of Daniel 8, the Bear of Daniel 7, and the Second Horseman of Revelation 6. Iran is the central player of this Signpost.

Signpost theory says Iran will attack and take out the Arab oil facilities ending one-quarter of the world’s oil production, causing peace of mind to be taken from the earth. Iran will charge out with boots on the ground to occupy many Muslim nations, killing people, causing chaos, unite the region into a Twelver Shia community and wait for their Mahdi to appear.

What We Have So Far

Iran goaded Israel and the US to attack them, to weary themselves and waste ammunition on targets that didn’t matter. Though the West thought Iran was defeated, by burying all their missiles and production, Iran now has control of the Strait of Hormuz and can let it open or close it at will.

The bottom line to the last five months is that the global oil inventories have been mostly used up, making Iran’s next move extra painful for the world economy.

Escalating to the Full Second Signpost

The following news story broke this morning.

ZeroHedge reports that Iranian leadership has shifted from “a defense posture to a ‘fully offensive’ one in its conflict with the United States.”

Newsmax reports that Iran’s “leaders are preparing their forces to escalate the war and raise the costs for the U.S.”

Preparations include enlarging the IRGC (aka Pasdaran) by having it take over and fold in the regular armed forces (aka Artesh), rampong ip missile and drone production, and increased communications with the Houthis and Hezbollah

Iranian leaders are also increasingly discussing offensive operations on enemy territory.

One Iranian leader stated: “the baseline is war.”

Conclusion

There have been many false starts to the Second Signpost. But I suppose that just goes with the territory when you are watching for the next event that is theorized.

But now it looks like this could be it this coming fall.

Cooler temperatures in the Middle East in September and October would lend to a ground invasion by Iran. We also have the harbinger of the Third signpost coming next spring.

It makes sense that this news story would popu p about now if you think about it.

Iran is no longer defensive and is now becoming offensive in its war.

For those who know the Signposts, this news story is ominous.
