(8 September 2026) We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
We have been watching since February 28. The Strait of Hormuz was mostly closed from March 2 to August 23 or so, being about 175 days. The Strait was sporadically open, and is now basically closed, although there are rumors of oil tankers getting through.
Eight AIs Asked About the War
The YouTube channel I Ask AI ran a video a couple weeks ago that asks eight AI models the following question about the Iran War:
“When does it end? I want a specific date, or at a minimum a month and year. . . Explain how it ends for Trump and for the US.”
The results? You can go through them yourself, but three of them gave a date as early as a day in October 2026, two of them gave a date as late as March 2027, and one said May 2027.
All of them pretty much agreed Trump would declare victory but everyone could see it was a loss for the US. The Hormuz Strait would open but under joint control of the US and Iran, with a negotiated settlement.
Conclusion
This was an entertaining and fun little diversion into what AI might come up with. I didn’t see any real difference between the AIs’ answers, and answers given by human experts.
None of them know the Signposts, however, but who knows it may be that the US gives up, and pulls out, letting the events of Daniel Revisited chapter 10 take place.
Keep watch.
