(14 September 2026) Three days ago, events in the Middle East took an ominous turn. As has been the case for the last 20 years or so, the Signpost theory of Bible prophecy interpretation allows one to put all the events into a perspective.
Many times, events which seem huge have little effect on the Signposts, and those events that seem insignificant, such as a meeting, can have a great meaning for the Signposts.
On September 11, 2026, Pumping Station No. 9 on the East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia was completely obliterated by a drone attack coming from Iraq, near Susa.
In yesterdays post I opined that the Second Signpost had begun with that attack on that day. The reasons are given in the post.
Dan Davis and Professor Marandi
Dan Davis interviewed Professor Marandi yet again. Prof. Marandi is based out of Tehran University.
The topic of discussion is the next escalation in the region, whether by the Houthis, the Saudis or the Iranian regime.
Starting at time 17:03, the discussion went on:
Marandi: And as I said earlier on, you’re going to have an Iranian reaction whether it’s in the Strait of Hormuz or whether it’s, you know, military strikes on US assets or affiliated assets, oil installations, gas installations, banks, AI centers, whatever. You know if we go further up the escalation ladder then you could see the Iraqi resistance get involved in a way in which it hasn’t been involved till now.
Davis: And that that would be devastating for the entire region. I mean, the bottom line is, as I see it from listening to what you’ve been saying, plus other things that I’ve been seeing here as well, we are in like a suspended animation here, which could either come to an end and everything could go back in a direction of stability. I won’t say peace, but stability to where everybody can breathe and live, or it could blow up a lot worse than it has so far. And I’m talking about the whole region, not just Iran or Israel, etc. Is that how you see it?
Marandi: Oh yes and I think it’ll blow up . . . it’ll blow up the entire world because when the region falls everything falls and it will be catastrophic. I mean I don’t like thinking about it.
They are talking about the Second Signpost if it’s the Iranians or Houthis that escalate. And its Marandi who understands andstates the true consequences. The consequences will be global and they will be horrible.
At time 19:22 the relevant dialogue continues,
Marandi: But the Iranians are prepared for far worse than what we have now. And that I see that as a major I think there’s a strong possibility. I don’t want to say probability because I don’t know, but I think there’s a very strong possibility that things will get a lot worse than what they are now.
Davis: May that never happen. May we come back in a year from now and say, “Boy, did we dodge a bullet there. I would love nothing better than to do that. Uh and I pray that somehow sanity does come to a lot of different people that seems bereft a bit up to this point.
Marandi nails it if the Signpost framework is true. Remember, too, Marandi is a Twelver Shia, or he wouldn’t be in the position he is in, or he is doing a great job pretending.
And unfortunately, Mr. Davis, if the Signposts are true, it will happen. It will happen just as sure as it is written in God’s Word.
Conclusion
Over the last few months ever since the Iran War began, I kept giving probabilities of the Second Signpost happening, as I saw it. And it was only my speculation.
Well, now if escalation continues, and I believe it will, we are at a 98 percent chance the Second Signpost will begin.
I’ve had the feeling quite often in the last two or three days to take church people and shake them and say, “Wake up!” “No, the Rapture is not next. Get ready!”
It makes me sad that the Western Church is so unprepared.
How does a Christian spiritually prepare?
What I’m about to say may come as an offense to many Christians, or to many people who call themselves Christian. The only way to navigate through this coming end time storm is to be saved—truly saved.
What do I mean by that? To be saved is to put your faith completely in Christ as God and the Son of God, and his work on the cross. And that is it. However, that faith as James 2 says and John 15 says, should bear fruit and good works to show that your faith is not head knowledge, but from the heart, from what motivates you. You must die to self, surrendering all that you are and all that you have to Him and His business, and cast out and pull down your idols. That is what is meant by “Come out of her, my people.”
Naturally, if surrendered, and dead to self, then you are in obedience and walking by the Spirit. And you are regularly repenting and regularly putting your anxieties on the altar of Philippians 4:6. You will also share your food with fellow Christians per Matthew 25.
It is my position, that to be saved is to be able to navigate the storm. And to be assured you can navigate the storm is to be saved.
No church will save you from the storm. No religion or theology will save you from the storm. It is only complete surrender and faith in Christ will you navigate the storm. It is by walking and working by the Holy Spirit will you navigate.
