(8 October 2026) We are currently waiting for the Second Signpost to escalate.
What are we seeing in the world right now? There is a war in the spiritual realm behind the ones we are physically seeing.
The Second and Third Signposts give us a hint that that the prince of Persia (or even of Madai) is still opposed to the prince of Yavan. Just as they fought each other in the days of Artaxerxes and Alexander, so now the same principalities still struggle against each other. It’s just with different names like Khamenei and Erdogan.
This will be there last battle. The soon coming Christ will not allow war anymore (Is. 2:4) when He rules from Jerusalem.
Likewise we’ve seen since the days of the founding of Russia and the Great Schism, another battle of principalities. The names of the humans change but it seems the princes continue in their war.
We could say it’s the prince of Ashkenaz whose descendents are citizens of West Europe including Germany, versus the prince of Togarmah or perhaps Riphath, whose descendents might be the Slavs. (Deut. 32:8 tells us the nations are assigned to the divine council.)
In 1054 and 1204 it was the bishop of Rome versus the bishop of Constantinople.
Today, it’s Zelenskyy telling NATO to attack Russia with nukes because of the loss of territory in Ukraine while Putin says he will blow up the world if we don’t allow Russia to exist as one nation.
Conclusion
Paul tells us our battles are against princes and principalities.
Wars will continue until the end.
There will be peace only when Jesus Christ returns to rule.
Keep watch.
