“Like Pieces of Meat Before Our Teeth”

(Thanks goes to Chris Mantei of Wings of the Eagle Ministry for bringing this MEMRI article to our attention.)

. . . so said one of the kings of the Persian ram.

Once again we see the Iranian regime speaking prophecy from Daniel.

If the Signpost interpretation is true, the Iranian regime is planning a massive invasion of the Middle East. Daniel 8’s Persian ram, and Daniel 7’s second beast, the bear, tell us of this invasion, otherwise known as the Second Signpost.

A First “Prophetic Utterance”

A few months ago, the regime spoke of itself as the ram from Daniel 8 when it mentioned the IRGC (the second horn) growing (from Dan. 8:3) and the military being concerned with the west, the south, and the north (from Dan. 8:4).

A Second “Prophetic Utterance”

Now in this story from MEMRI, one of the kings of the Persian ram speaks about their military in language eerily reminding us of the bear in Daniel 7:5.

Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force. One could say he is the Iranian rocket man. Note his red “king” insignia.

General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force (the rocket force), spoke of American bases in the region referring to them as, “pieces of meat before our teeth.”

General Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC rocket force, talks about the American military being “meat” for their “teeth.”

Daniel 7:5 (NASB) says,

And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, ‘Arise, devour much meat!’ (emphasis mine)

General Hajizadeh said,

Take a look here. This is the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar. . . This is the Al-Dhafra Air Base, located in the UAE. . . This is the situation of the Americans. They are like pieces of meat before our teeth.

The meat that Daniel 7:5 refers to is that of many nations, for in that vision nations are represented as wild animals. Iran is to devour many nations, gorging on “meat.” This would also include with the nations, all those who as Daniel 8:4 says, would be “anyone to rescue from his power.”

That would potentially be the United States and its military capabilities.

The Persian ram earlier spoke of the horn that grew and that it is concerned with running north, south, and west.

Now, the bear has spoken of targets in the Middle East that are like meat waiting to be gorged on, to be devoured by its teeth.

What else might the regime say, prior to the Second Signpost, that is “coincidentally” from the verses telling us of this horrific event?  What else might God let the kings of Media and Persia say that bears witness to God’s Word?

  1. Also yesterday’s post on Israel, Islam and the End Times : US gov’t fears Iran is planning major regional war – And after reading your column for sometime I wasn’t at all surprised

  2. Talking about the rocket man… A German weekly Sunday newspaper wrote this morning it had seen reports from Western Intelligence Services, confirmed by different sources, that showed:

    1. Iran has this year tested missiles with such a long range that they can reach the territory of the European Union

    2. The number of rocket tests in 2018 is more than twice the number of tests in 2017.

    3. The long range rockets are not very accurate in hitting their targets, so using them would only make sense if they carry weapons of mass destruction.

  3. I sense in my heart and mind a confirmation of your understanding of prophecy. God has given you great Godsight. Great trouble lies ahead, yet God will be with His own.

  4. God Jehovah will save those who believes in one and only true God and believes in Jesus Christ the only begotten Son the messiah the king of all kings in the coming Gods kingdom here on this soon to be open new paradise earth.

  5. According to our Constitution only Congress can declare war (article 1 section 8). For decades Congress has allowed the executive branch of government to declare war. The Senate has just passed a resolution designed to return to Congress its constitutional authority.

Since the incoming House leadership will probably be eager to follow the Senate’s lead, this would mean that when Iran invades the Middle East, the hawks in the executive branch could not attack Iran without congressional approval. While Congress would be debating on what to do about the invasion, the Middle East (except for Israel) would have already been taken over by Iran.

With one chamber of Congress controlled by pro-Iran, anti-Israel leaders, the fighter jets on our carriers would be stuck there while the ram would do “according to his will” (Daniel 8:4). Iran would have no incentive to destroy our aircraft carriers lest that prompt Congress to declare war.
