(28 June 2026) It is now 10 pm MST June 28, or, 4 AM GMT, June 29. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
The Strait of Hormuz was closed solidly for 112 days. It was then open for six days.
As of today, it seems to be officially closed again and has now been closed for two days.
The last bit of news today is that the exchange of fire between the US and Iran has ceased and so peace talks will start again on Tuesday in Qatar.
There really are only two alternatives for the US to deal militarily with Iran.
The first is the US devotes one to two million men to go into Iran and seek out and destroy all the missile cities. That won’t happen. It would take too much time, too much treasure, and the American public won’t stand for it.
The second option has been stated for the first time as far as I know, as follows
MacGregor Says It First
This YouTube video interviews Col. Macgregor, discussing the current military and geopolitical situation.
Macgregor comes to one conclusion with everything considered: The US stays fighting a war it doesn’t want, or the US military simply withdraws.
I froze for a moment when I heard Macgregor say, “It’s time to get out”, because of what it means if the US really did get out.
It would mean that the US withdraws much or most of its military forces, and Daniel 8:4 is set up to be fulfilled. Daniel 8:4 says,
“I watched the ram as he charged toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against him, and none could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.”
Conclusion
If the Trump administration also comes to the place where the US military needs to withdraw from positions against Iran, then the Persian Ram will be free to fulfill its God-ordained destiny.
Keep watch.

And the whole point of the Petrodollar is to defend the gulf states in exchange for requiring they deal only in dollars.
@Karl
You are quite right that withdrawal by the USA would accelerate the demise of the petrodollar system, and the demise of the dollar itself, and finally of the US economy.
Maybe this prospect is what is haunting Trump at the moment. Col. McGregor said in the clip (as he has said before) that Trump clearly is under some kind of duress. The colonel suspects it has to do with a threat by the pro-Israel lobby, and maybe it has. But it could also be this bind: Trump is damned if he persists in the war, because of exploding oil prices some time soon, and damned if he withdraws, because of the demise of the petrodollar.
It seems there no way out for him any more, and that he can only procrastinate to postpone the inevitable, all the while hoping for a miraculous way out to appear.
