(9 July 2026) It is now 10 pm MST July 9, or, 5 AM GMT, July 10. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
The Strait of Hormuz is closed again. The Strait was closed solidly for 112 days starting on March 2, allowing the global inventory of oil to drain to near zero.
It has now been 19 days that the closure ended and the Strait opened, but the opening has been on again and off again. And now the Strait is closed again.
The US and the regime are attacking each other for the last two days or so. The US bombs targets in Iran, and Iran bombs US bases in the various Arab countries.
The Persian Ram is Twelvers
In Daniel Revisited, chapter 10, I wrote about the regime consisting of Twelver Shias and what that means. This includes their beliefs and what they believe their mission is.
Interestingly, two sources on the internet spoke about this today.
First is an op-ed from American Thinker. The author, in a piece titled, “The Mullahs aren’t crazy – they’re Twelvers,” describes the Twelver Shia way of thinking rather well.
Yes, they believe their mission is to bring in the Mahdi even if it means eradication of much of the human race.
Second is another video from Dan Davis at Deep Dive on YouTube. Starting at about 03:11, Davis talks in practical terms how the populace’s Twelver Shia faith manifested during the Ayatollah’s funeral procession.
The bottom line is, there is extreme anger against the United States and it seems they are totally against any peace agreement.
Conclusion
We have yet more evidence that the Second Signpost speaking of the Iranian forces running out across the Mideast and causing economic chaos in the world, is not so crazy-sounding. The only crazy part remaining is that they actually pull it off. We know they have the motivation.
Iran will continue to control the Strait.
Iran will likely, sooner or later, choke off the quarter of the world’s oil by destroying the Arab oil facilities. The Signpost theory says so.
Continue to keep an eye over your shoulder. Give yourself an exit plan to any trips you may be planning. For me, I’m always under one tank of gas from home.
