(6 August 2026) It is now 10 pm MST August 6, or, 4 AM GMT, August 7. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost. We have been watching since February 28.
The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 159 days.
Tonight we have one news story, and another analysis on the direction of the Iran War.
Third Signpost Defense Pact?
This Newsmax story reports that Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan will be signing a defense pact against Iran, later today.
It is reported that the details are not know yet. However, if there is a clause such as Article 5 of NATO, in which invasion of one pulls in another, we can see why Turkey would be pulled in immediately if Iran conquers Saudi Arabia. In Daniel Revisited chapter 11, Turkey would attack anyway as it is a Sunni power and would be seeking to go against Iran the Shia power.
However, this pact would result in closer military ties between the two Sunni nations.
March Towards Second Signpost
Davis of the Deep Dive channel interviews Col. Macgregor yet again, as he summarizes the three directions to go from here for the US dealing with Iran. Of the three options, he fears the one which is all-out war including an invasion by the US, which it looks like is the one that is becoming unavoidable.
Conclusion
We should be keeping our eyes open for set ups to the Third signpost such as the coming famine this spring, and military alliances as we see Turkey and the Saudis engaging in.
And unfortunately, one way or another it looks like the Iran War will continue one way or another toward the Second Signpost. If the US withdraws, the regime can attack the Arab oil infrastructure. If the US invades Iran, the regime likely has a trap set up for it. And if the US does nothing, the world starts getting fuel shortages as the Strait stays closed.
