The Impact of US Munitions Depletion

(7 August 2026) It is now 10 pm MST August 7, or, 4 AM GMT, August 8. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost. We have been watching since February 28.

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 160 days.

Breaking Points has a video report out showing the impacts of weapon depletion within the US armory, and how long it would take to replace these weapons.

The story runs from time 03:58 to 09:55.

Several things are exposed. Among them are Trump’s statements show contradictions about munitions and factories. Another is that Secretary Pete Hegseth supposedly puts the blame on his subordinates. Yet another is that at current rates of production, the munitions the US has used will not be replaced until some time well into the 2030’s.

Conclusion

If the US were to start another full attack on Iran it would involve our manned fighters going in with possible personnel loss. This is why missiles were used initially.

The US is now likely the most vulnerable it has ever been to its adversaries such as China, Russia, and North Korea.

Keep watch.
