US Might Need to Withdraw

(12 August 2026) It is now 9 pm MST August 12, or, 3 AM GMT, August 13. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.

We have been watching since February 28. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since March 2, and has been so for 164 days.

Is the US Going to Withdraw?

The jury is still out on that question.

The Second Signpost would involve Iran taking out the Arab oil facilities, and invading all the Muslim countries in the Mideast, without the US stopping them.

In this video interview of Col. Macgregor, some things are laid out on the table.

At time 00:45, there is no sign the Iran War is ending. In fact, there has been some chatter in Washington about the war going on indefinitely.

At time 03:06, it is discussed that the US is up against Iran, and winning a war there might be impossible for the US.

At time 07:34, it is discussed whether the US would rebuild its bases around the Persian Gulf. Two hurdles to that would be the hundreds of billions of dollars needed to spend to  that end in this environment of spiraling government debt, and the fact that some Arab countries like Saudi Arabia might not want or need us there especially since the Saudis are looking to China now for help. If the US does not rebuild bases, it would be more expensive to keep forces there in the region.

Don’t Forget the Second Horseman

And then there is the declining peace of mind everywhere, whether quickly at times or slower most of the time.

In this second interview of Macgregor, at time 02:31, he thinks the economic downturn will hit the US hard in the fall.

In the Signpost perspective, that would be due to the petrodollar dying since nations won’t need dollars anymore to buy oil. And I believe that will happen in the fall—anywhere from September to November.

At time 04:23, it is believed the US will start seeing jet fuel shortages in three weeks or so, causing US airlines to curtail flights.

Conclusion

As the weeks and months go by, the world will start seeing oil and fuel shortages due to the continued closure of the Strait despite the various means of compensation. They are not enough.

We are also headed to cooler weather and that’s when the regime might march out.

The famine is still coming by this spring.

We might have August for normalcy and that’s it. We might have September or October but I’m not counting on it. With each passing month into cooler weather, I believe the chance for the escalation by Iran goes up.

Keep watch.

Finally, finally — I saw something on TV that verifies what you have been saying. On CNN (on the running line at the bottom of the screen) they had a line that read … “The world’s stockpile reserves of oil is running out. The bottom should be reached by early September spelling big trouble for the world’s economies.” Meanwhile the stock market continues to grow while the price of oil drops along with the rate on the 10-year treasury bond. This what makes it hard for people to accept what you’re saying. For the record, I am with you.
