(19 August 2026) It is now 10 pm MST August 19, or, 4 AM GMT, August 20. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
We have been watching since February 28. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since March 2, and has been so for 171 days.
Dan Davis on his YouTube channel discusses with one of his experts, the idea that Iran winning the war and controls the region. The implication from what is discussed here is that the world is entering a different paradigm.
Of course the Second Signpost itself puts the world in a different paradigm.
At time 08:35 they discuss Iran becoming not just a regional power, but having an effect on much of the globe.
At time 13:53 they talk about how Ret. Gen. Keane compares the Iran War to the First Signpost, which Davis quickly shoots down due to the two wars being completely different in terms of forces, and terrain to fight on.
Conclusion
This whole new way of thinking can be labeled in an expression used these days about the unbelievable happening, and that is, “crazy.”
US allies must now rethink if they can depend on the US to defend them.
Iran can now negotiate a settlement with the US from a much better position.
We are watching another sentence in the Second Signpost passages beginning to come true:
“No animal could stand against him, and none could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.” (Dan. 8:4b NIV)
