(20 August 2026) It is now 10 pm MST August 20, or, 4 AM GMT, August 21. We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
We have been watching since February 28. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since March 2, and has been so for 172 days.
IRGC Destroyed US Bases
We saw that the US Navy forces pulled out of the Persian Gulf and now have a 2,200-mile-long supply line from Diego Garcia. Supposedly US forces pulled out because US bases in the region were destroyed.
Here are a few news stories reporting on this topic.
BBC reports June 1 about damage done to US bases in the Mideast.
National Security Journal reports July 16 that various facilities including radar centers were destroyed.
This Breaking Points YouTube report at time 02:31 to 04:20 says the US is changing its strategy using bases. Arab allies are leaning towards not inviting the US back.
This video news report from time 02:35 to 07:36 confirms that extensive damage occurred to US bases throughout the region. Most disturbingly though, the Ytump administration tried to cover it up.
Conclusion
The truth is coming out. Iran won the war. The IRGC controls the Strait which is mostly closed now, the regime is still very much in power, and the IRGC can hit any target in range as often as needed.
If the Arab allies of the US do not invite US forces back, then not only are the Arab nations wide open to the Persian ram running out, but the US petrodollar is officially dead. Remember our half of the agreement was to defend the Arab allies. How can the US do that with no bases in the region?
It seems the Second Signpost is indeed next.
