Escalation: From Iran Earlier or From US Later

(2 October 2026) After so many years of watching for the coming of the Second Signpost, it has arrived, as written about here, and in Daniel Revisited.

We have been watching the Iran War since February 28, and the “official” beginning of the Second Signpost on September 11.

Mario Nawful on YouTube released a short 9-minute video in which Prof. Robert Pape of the University of Chicago connects dots of what is going on right now with the Iran War.

There are signs of major escalation. A third carrier (the USS Roosevelt) is coming in, with another amphibious ship.

Remember, there were three carriers present when the war started.

However, another reason for a third carrier is that our bases in the Middle East are unusable, so the carriers act as airbases.

The extra ships will arrive in time to carry out Trump’s threat of the war restarting after the midterm election, as he has repeated many times.

Pape suspects Iran could cause there own escalation.

In past weeks and months, Iran has said they will retaliate by destroying the Arab oil facilities. And there are very few targets left on US bases.

Conclusion

In this post from a couple days ago, we noted that now through November 3 (the day of the midterm election) Iran may escalate. They said to get ready for an October surprise, and likely a good way to wreck the Republicans chances is to raise gas and oil prices out of sight, which would mean an attack on Arab oil.

However, Pape shows that the US will likely escalate after November 3.

Therefore, the Second Signpost is still coming. I, for one, am glad its taking its time. It allows more time to proclaim the message in the media (there is a media campaign going on right now), and more time to prep the garden for next spring as growing your own food will become obviously important to everyone.
