(18 September 2026) After so many years of watching for the coming of the Second Signpost, it has arrived. The first attack taking out 5 percent of the world’s oil availability happened this past weekend.
Canadian Prepper Reminds Us We Need Jesus
Nate at Canadian Prepper just released a 27-minute video today, titled You Better Get Your S–t Together in which he is just talking to his audience standing next to a vehicle on his prepper property.
He does a good job of reminding us all of how desperate things may get, and of how there will be no peace among individuals. Supplies will run out. Things will break and fail.
Now, I am not sure, but I don’t think Nate is a follower of Christ and so he pours out his heart and speaks from a secular world view.
I recommend you watch his video, at the very least to get a feel as to why Jesus told us not to scream in terror in Matthew 24:6 and not to run around in a panic in Luke 21:9.
Conclusion
This video reminds us that we must all be pursuing Christ as his disciples, actively surrendered to Him, having died to self, and being in obedience. Only in this way do we have a hope of navigating through this terrible end-time storm.
Nate’s words and descriptions should make this completely clear. He just gave every reason why Christ must be center in your life.
And, no, the Rapture will not happen until at least the end of the Fourth Signpost.
The Second, Third, and Fourth Signposts are the labor pains.
Keep watch.

Canadian Prepper strikes me as an honest man who has his eyes open, is brave enough to even check his own attitudes and motives, and does whatever he can to warn and advice others. All commendable.
As he learns more, he sees his own wisdom and diligent preparations fall short, as he sees humanity falling short. Because of that he has no real hope. That too makes sense; we now have so many negative trends enforcing each other that, humanly speaking, hope to retain our way of life and wealth is fading rapidly. If all this goes on unchecked even our civilisation will be at stake, and in the very end even the survival of humanity itself.
Only Jesus is powerful and knowing enough to be our hope, even beyond death. I hope Canadian Prepper one day will somehow let himself be found by Jesus.
His information is often reliable. But I found that many YouTube channels, including some sometimes referred to on this blog, fall short. Often they have agenda’s that dictate what they mention and what they withhold. They are not called influencers for nothing; that is not only about advertisements in their clips, but also about what they want their audience to believe.
They have more freedom in speculation what might happen given what we know now than newspapers and TV channels, and that can be useful to get ideas and eye-openers. But since first the Ukraine war and later this Gulf war started I found that well-researched written media and TV new programs, with some journalistic cross-checking, though of course imperfect too, in the end prove to be more reliable than YouTube clips. They also contain more information that is easier digestible in much less time than following youtube channels.
To be honest, only very few youtube clips ever taught me news things I did not learn soon after by reading news things. So I decided to, from now, on avoid youtube to hunt for news, though I will check out those referenced in this blog. I will stick mostly to readable things.
That said, Mark, how is the progress of your upcoming book?
