Second Signpost Start Perfectly Aligned to Jewish Calendar

(18 September 2026) After so many years of watching for the coming of the Second Signpost, it has arrived. The first attack taking out 5 percent of the world’s oil availability happened this past weekend.

This post also gave more circumstantial reasons as to why the Second Signpost may have begun on September 11, 2026.

However, there is one more reason, and it parallels and underlies the entire Signpost framework of the end times.

Saddam and the First Shemitah

In this post written years ago, I wrote that the first horseman’s very first conquest was on September 10, 1980, the beginning of a seven-year Shemitah cycle. On that date, Saddam’s first move of the Iran-Iraq War was to cross the border with Iran and conquer two towns in Iran. That was the start of the first horseman riding out as herald of the First Signpost that was to follow 23 years later.

The Iran War and the Seventh Shemitah

We will fast forward past the starts of the next shemitahs in 1987, 1994, 2001, 2008, and 2015. The seventh one started in September 2022. This seventh cycle began when Russia annexed the four oblasts of Ukraine that Russia had occupied.

The middle of the seventh Shemitah, March 19, 2026, saw the Iran War escalate in intensity, as Iran ratcheted up its attacks.

And so here we are at the start of the fourth year of the current seven-year cycle, which began September 11, 2026.

What happened on that day?

That was the day, that the pumping station no. 9 was taken out on the east-west pipeline and instantly 5 percent of the world’s oil stopped.

As near as I can tell the attack happened the very hour of the start of the Jewish new year. The news story just reported of the attack at 12:04 pm central time on September 11, and the first hour of the new year started at 10:11 am September 11. That is fairly close, and I’m not sure how we could tell if its any closer.

Conclusion

Just as the First Signpost herald began at a Jewish new year, as did other events, so I believe the Second Signpost began at the very start of Year 4 of the current 7-year cycle.

This is yet more evidence (circumstantial at this point, admittedly, but God works in circumstances all the time) the opening salvo was on that pumping station on September 11.
